I dunno, it's strange watching a remake of a show up you used to like, heroes reborn for example, just not the same "Magic" I'll give it a go though as I did like the x files 1st time round
Fair point. I didnt think of it that way. Was a great series though. I liked the stand alone episodes moreso.
It does look very good, I may go see it this weekend. My daughter went with her friend last night she's quite into her films for a 13 year old.
Also, fianlly watched Star Wars last night. That was a lot of money to remake A New Hope wasn't it? Fun, though.
I think they were looking to make a connection with the old films, I don't think it was so much A New Hope but but more of a connection to all 3 of the older films all in one go and from there we'll move on.
Yeah thats kinda the way I saw it, get back to basics and then kick off with a new saga. Plus every one needed to wash the prequels outta their system
I get what you're saying, but it was just soooo similar. The prequels at least tried something different, even if it wasn't exactly executed the best. There just wasn't really anything there that I hadn't seen before. It definately had the Spirit of A New Hope, which was nice, and it was a good popcorn movie, but no more (and no less) than that.
I just ****ing loved it, a great back to the old skool film. Good vs Evil with spaceships and lightsabers.
The prequels, aside from the ridiculous plot holes, atrocious dialogue and cringeworthy over use of CGI, tried to be too political. Senators, political debates, elections....I don't want hamfisted attempts at intrigue in my Star Wars movies, I have Game of Thrones for that. Leave that kind of thing to people who can actually write dialogue George.
Watched Straight Outta Compton on the weekend, loved it all the stories of how Death Row Records was run I though far fetched and made up but it seems not!!!! 90'S music is just boss, Britpop, Grunge and Gangsta Rap all in one decade what a ride.
At least it was something different. It's not Lucas' fault if you can't handle hamfisted attempts at intrigue.
My first favorite band. When I saw "No Limit" on TV, it pretty much blew my mind and awoke my interest in music. Sad but true.
