I remember him being rumoured a good few weeks ago and looked like the right sort of player for us but then it went quiet and everything moved on. If we sign Naismith too, as I expect to happen this week if not tonight, what more are we after? I think we're probably still a striker and a CB light but both may have to wait until the summer.
Brilliant news if true {from the announcement on the official club site} "As a player, he’s got good technical ability and he’s solid in the air. He can also play at either right centre-back or left centre-back. "We’re delighted to have completed this deal and to have added Timm to our squad." Another CB and a Striker would be ideal. I think we eventually need a proper LB who can tackle. That's just an ideal world though. I would still like to see us get an out and out striker. A finisher. Then I'd be very happy. I'm pretty content with the signings we have (as Naismith looks nearly done). A proper CB signing at long last, a very different RB option, Jarvis on a perm, and A really hard working experienced attacker who can be used in many positions. That makes me feel a lot more comfortable. For us, based on our usual transfer window exploits, that's half decent.
We basically need a deal to be agreed for either Lafferty or Hooper - at which point a striker, albeit maybe as back up, will be required. Trouble is, the later in the window, the more ££ involved, which does not suit NCFC.
Brady is a pretty handy LB, he's made some superb tackles this season. He just loves attacking too much. I would rather him on the wing though. I'd imagine that will a summer purchase. If we're looking further ahead of like to see an O'Neil upgrade, we've struggled to win the midfield battle whenever he hasn't played this season.
Disagree. If we want a back up striker. Just have Hooper or Lafferty sit on the bench. We need a bloke who can come into the team and be a real goal threat. Otherwise, just don't waste the money.
I like him at LB, he works hard, and is so much better than Olssen, but he is awful. So Brady doesn't have to do much to beat what other options we have. I said it wasn't desperate, but something we need to look at, coz it's a real weak spot.
Among all the nosebleeds ensuing from the prospect of a new CB joining the ranks, it's largely slithered under the radar that Stephen Fry has relinquished his spot on the board - to be replaced by a relative of Delia's if I read it correctly? http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/arti...-directors-stephen-fry-tom-smith-2909237.aspx
Got too love nepotism. He's taking on the "basically useless just sit in the corner and don't say anything seat" being vacated by Mr Fry.
Pleased that Klose has signed a real coup for us evidently. If Naismith does put pen to paper I'll have to hold my hands up and admit that City have had a very productive transfer window. Yeah we've been mugged off with the fee for Naismith but as others have said, not as much of a mugging as we've given Bournemouth with regard to "can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, I'm going to throw a paddy if I don't get picked" Grabbarse. Been a rumor for a while. I like him a lot. It's just attitude, wages and convincing him to come here. I'd love him, if he's head was right.
