Bit of devil's advocate, but Bradders J had a stella(r) season there, on the left last year. Admittedly, it was a lower division but Jarvis had a very difficult act to follow - in a higher league! Last time Johnson played in the top flight, he was distinctly average, though playing in a deeper, holding role alongside Tettey than wide left. I wonder, can Jarvis play LB, allowing Brady into the LM slot - that would tick some boxes
Jarvis can't really defend that well (and I wouldn't expect him to) though. Obviously he works hard, but he's not a LB by trade and that's quite a challenging task to get used to fullback positions which are becoming ever more important as both attacking outlets and excellent readers of the game to get back in position. I would much rather Olsson at LB than Jarvis, even though the former has his defensive shortcomings
What gives with RVW? I see he was an unused sub at the weekend (even though they brought three on). He'll still have another year on his contract here, won't he? I can't see Betis wanting to keep him. Do we just hope someone comes in and pays his wages while his contract runs down? Merde!

Think he was looking for an offer closer to home which is fair enough, who wouldn't want the chance to return home after a long time? It is a lot of money but hopefully we've got an experience player that will help us stay up.
I certainly think we're far more likely to survive with him than without -and I wouldn't have said that of Grabban
I'm starting to get bored of trawling through this list of players getting put down on here, and signings who haven't even been presented getting rubbished all ready. Just to see if there are any new rumors about players. I really don't understand where all the negativity comes from. Come on guys! We are doing our best and definitely competing, in a league we aren't yet good enough for.

So what was the fee for him? He's not a name I was that excited about, but everything coming out of Germany about him, is that this is a great capture for us.
