I think I like the look of ... Davis Richardson Fonte NEW SIGNING ? Dickson Guly Cork Schneiderlin Lallana Lambert Connolly ( Assuming Chamberlain leaves ) Doesn't it make you smile, when you think of all the quality players that have to be left out of the starting line-up.
Or maybe have Lallana float behind Lambert, and put a winger on the left? It seems almost criminal to have Lallana, with all his creative flair, wide on the left. Think he would be much more dangerous in a central position. Does anybody feel we need a very good experienced player in the centre of midfield in order to really push on? A Jimmy Case type?
How would you like to be in NA's shoes? He is going to have to upset some players when he tells them they are not starting, even more if they are not on the bench! Have to feel for our friends down the M27 who will struggle to find enough to fill the bench, doesn't mean that we will be better than them though, I just hope we are.
Would you really play Guly ahead of De Ridder ? He is an out and out winger, where as Guly is more of a central player. He didnt have too much impact down the right i thought.
I just feel he has too much to offer, to not play, SITGK. Don't really know much about De Ridder yet. Perhaps Guly is the ideal candidate to move into the middle, because he has more of a physical presence. With Cork slotting in at right back? Really liked the look of Connolly at the end of last season. He was lively / sharp ( mind and movement ).
Adkins definitely has his work cut out this season! The competition for places will certainly keep them all focused.
