BR was (is) as YES man. The job was always too big for him and Suarez (and a fit Sturridge) made his teams look quite acceptable. He should never have allowed some of the player acquisitions.

It was funny when he said some of his targets weren't on the group list.

If they were, we would have ended up with Bertrand, Williams, Britton, Vorm lol!

Klopp: “I know we didn’t score a goal, but I could not say whether De Gea touched the ball or not, it’s not always possible from my position. He’s man of the match, right?"

    Mweh...

Same old committe crap. Like all reality the truth is usually in the middle. Whatever the balance 300M was spent, the committe including BR sanctioned every sale and we have a decidedly average team. Br is the only committee member to have so far paid the price for that failure.

It will be interesting to see how it works with Klopp. Will he get these so called take them or leave it lists and if so what will his reaction be? Or will he have more mind or i fluence in creating the lists in the first place?

As it is the approach has to be that large parts of that 300M are a write off. Maybe 5 players (big maybe) can be coached to top 4 level. The rest will at best be 3rd choice squad in any top 4 team. This season since Klopp came in has proved you can not make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

At best Klopp could make a cup team out of this current squad.

In other words it is "transition" once again.

I've tried to support Mignolet but enoughs enough. Too many defenders have played in front of him and looked fools because he is a coward. He treats his goal line like cocaine.

Feck Sturridge and Benteke. Both useless to our club, both maybe for reasons not entirely in their control but they are still pointless (literally) baggage.

Hendo and Milner are too similar in their average but works hard mediocrity. One has to go and be replaced with a game controller.

Lala while looking decent at times is not doing what a AM is paid to do...score and create goals.

    Coutinho needs to grow up.

We need a younger version of Lucas.

    We need pace and width.

3 year job for Klopp at the very least and thats if FSG do not tie one of his hands behind his back.

United? Don't really care tbh. They've spent as much as us and but for their only remaining world class player would be down with us.

Its that simple. 1 world class player might get you a few steps up the table. 2? A cup or fight for 4th. 3-5 will have you consistently competing for CL places and maybe a title in a year that goes your way. 5 and you're really competing.

    United have 1 left.

    We have none.

It's no good beating big teams like City and Leicester and getting points against teams like Arsenal if we just lose against also-ran teams like United. We will never get back in top 4.

We should be slaying the easy teams like United.

We're not because we're so desperate for a striker we sign defenders to play up top.

On the Rodgers debate, I'd have more respect if he had stuck to his principles and by leaving them aside within a season he showed how completely unprepared he was for the job.

Rewind to the start of his reign and we were promised tiky taky death by football, the players didn't get it/couldn't do it/didn't want to do it. He then changes it completely which was his mistake, if he'd been sacked because his idea hadn't worked then fine but to panic like he did was laughable.

Good point. And not being defeated 4 out of 4 by them and conceding 4 goals out of 4 shots...:bandit:

We should stop being their bitch, shouldn't we?

I fear from your current trend of posting that you are spiralling downwards into the darkest depths of Astroworld.

Stinks of bile down there. Pull back before it's too late! :(

Agreed - he completely changed his style through the years and he didn't have a clue.

His problem was and always will be his ego. He wanted full control over transfers and coaching. Refused to Surround himself with quality coaches.

Van Gaal "One shot? You ask this question. If you do your homework it is enough. When you see they have conceded from the first shot on target in 11 games this season, you make it count."

    :)

    Now it's 12.
