Sorry bob didn't mean anything by that , always said it to you in fun .you were one of my favorite posters .I've left our board a few times for the sane reasons . I use to be roof jack or seabreeze . Miss ya on the board , again sorry .
Bob the slob is a super football guy , left our board for good reason , I left our board on occasions for the same reason ...I feel terrible he took me the wrong way and signed off .My problem sometimes is every time I open my mouth ...I say something .
It is not always easy to work out, but where do you think that things have gone wrong for you this season?
We tried to become somebody we weren't this season . Spent money on transfers foolishly .The chairman stuck his nose into running things that he shouldn't . We didn't use our squad , Monk kept with the 11 same guys game after game without results . Curtis has got us semi back on track playing much better with the entire squad , we just aren't getting any breaks . Law of average says we will start getting those breaks soon , maybe even tomorrow ...hehe.
I think that's my post in the OP! The Watford v Swans game was the trigger for our start of bad form. It coincided with Andre Ayew winning the August player of the month award. Decembers player of the month award went to your very own Ighalo ........you can see we're getting desperate for three points
Not looking forward to this game, we really need to win it and so do Swansea... Hope QSF mixes things up a bit, the players need a shakeup after that Southampton debacle!
No, not all. There were some really good posters (you included - ah love in) and debates on the Swans forum. I'm really quite thick skinned and left the forum party because of the bullying of others as well as myself - no fun in that. I signed off to have tea. Cheer up Back to the game - The way I've seen Watford play is refreshing and reminds me of us in our first three PL seasons. Which is great. So I'm hoping we will compete with Watford far better than against the thug teams. While we are lacking confidence but can still play really well. Looking at recent results suggests I've been at the herbs again but really we've had two good away draws, a home win, two losses away to the Manchesters both by one goal and both very, very close (spawny deflected goal in the final minute denied us a point at City) and the Sunderland game was a farce. In nearly 60 years of following and playing football I've only ever seen one worse refereeing display than that (when a ref had sent off so many players for a series of 2 yellows - only 3 deserved for both side - he had to drag an injured Swansea player back on to the pitch to keep 7 in play). Had the Sunderland result gone the other way I'm sure most Swansea fans would have been just as appalled. The result will depend on wether or not we can score - but we will have to shut Watford out to get any points.
It all depends IMO as to whether you can muzzle Deeney and Ighalo.... and in doing that also score a goal. If it is an open game i do think we 'should' win it.. but this is football eh...
Sorry cannot join you all here tonight as match clashes with our Greek evening class so will catch later on sky recording. I may not be fully focussed on my verbs tonight.
My biggest worry about the Sunderland game is it probably knocked the stuffing out of our confidence that Curtis has built over a half dozen games and at a very inopportune time for us .The Sunderland game WAS the worst officiated games I've seen . I like Watford too , just not today ....2-1 Swans
Just had a little look around the Swansea board to see what their thoughts are on the match. Don't click on the Lesbos thread (unless you're particularly fond of goose-stepping), I've never seen so much vile racist stuff posted anywhere in so few posts
I don't post on that thread and after reading it once , I don't read it anymore . Little off topic , but were you guys the team that had the match day thread on the old 606 board that had the guy that gave the play by play ....if so it was quality , good stuff .
We still do running comments on a game when there is no stream available, but nearly every game this season has been possible to watch.
I do not like Prodl's description of the game on the OS as one he is "desperate" to win. Desperation - at this stage of the season?
Thanks for the thread OFH. Really not looking forward to this one tonight but hoping that we see a reaction from the Southampton game. COYH!
Perhaps lost in translation. There is a fine linguistic line between really wanting something and being desperate for it. I'll probably miss most of this game. My summer holidays have finished and this is my first day back at work. Meetings are already lining up.
