That would be amazing. Though, I heard not so long ago Juve looking at him. Surely European Italian clubs will be poking around him. I really like the player though. I'd love us to get him. Won't happen though.
Well, Rob established a few posts back what a handsome guy he is... so I wouldn't rule out any 'poking'
If they keep us in the PL, yes. At 30, players still have a couple of years left in them, maybe more. And you're arguably getting them at their peak. No sell-on value, but sometimes you just need the quality!
Pelle - yep, deffo would have him in the squad. - totally different striker to what we currently have.
A good point, better to spend £8M on a Naismith that looks like as much of a garantee of playing well for you as you might get, than £8.5M for a dogs dick! Both have next to no value after but it's what you get from them whilst they're here. Bah!
Naismith medical due today acc. to the Mirror. James Nursey @JamesNursey Steven Naismith at #NCFC for medical today ahead of £8.5m move.
Paddy Davitt of EDP fame seems to think it's when rather than if - and as he's more 'hands on' at the club, I'd take his word over James bloody Nursery, SkySportsPete, Sky-sources-understand-that, etc, etc.
We haven't been linked to Pelle though have we? You're just saying he might be leaving Southampton, would you have him? As for Naismith, good to see it's moving forward...Slowly.
Not wishing to upset any apple carts by being too quick off the mark, but here's an excellent, frank interview with Naismith from last summer. He clearly likes to think things through before acting - which may well help explain why this transfer has taken (errm, is taking!) so long http://m.heraldscotland.com/sport/1...Scotland__Rangers_and_why_he_loves_Stewarton/
http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...64495.html#$$o15812&&/new3L3KEeWEZwoNJV5juQ$$ Reports of this pretty much over all sites now.
If Naismith signs for us, there'll be a few annoyed people on here I'm sure. According to them, he didn't sign on the dotted line IMMEDIATELY after us having an offer accepted by Everton, so therefore he's basically dead to us and doesn't deserved to wear the shirt.
Pellè? Where did this come from? I've not seen anything about it. Personally I don't think he would be a good fit for us, he doesn't have the work rate.
Well, all I can say is, having watched Saturday's (abject) performance vs Bournemouth, he'd fit in a treat! Because not a single one of our outfield players did either.
Said all along, great fit, good solid premiership quality attacker. I'm fine with his age, he can score goals, but that's not really what his play is about. I'm very happy. At one point I thought the deal was off, so seeing this has cheered me up.
You're not the only one. Seeing this has helped to turn Saturday's débacle into a rapidly fading nightmare. Plus the imminent arrival of anyone (please!!) to give us a helping hand at centre back is a thing of great beauty to contemplate
