I don't give a **** what the doom mongers say but I think getting a draw and not conceding at Stoke is very creditable especially with the players we had missing yesterday
What when they said 'we'd never finish 4th' or 'we'd never win anything under Wenger' or 'that we'd never improve'... ? The only fact here is that we are at the top of the league. You can of course, look at certain facts in a glass half empty way and say that our recent [last 6 games] away form has been poor (which it has) and then make the assumption that this will continue for the rest of the season, meaning we aren't likely to win the league. You can look at historical data to say that we have been at the top of the league before and not won the thing. But they aren't definite's. Equally you could say that we have improved on previous season [especially when comparing how we've coped with our annual injury crisis and our points haul against Stoke], or that before our injury crisis we had one of the best away records in the league - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenals-fantastic-away-record-key-6756462. You could look at the players we have coming back, allowing us to rest our fatigued players and rely on Sanchez, Ozil (and eventually) Coq instead of Theo, Oxo and Flamini. Of course none of the above is fact either, it's just looking at the situation glass half full instead. But it shows that not everything is as 100% bleak as you are making it out.
Nobody here said everything is bleak, what I did say is that our away form is not good right now, 1 win in 6 away games, and that unless we improve on that, we can forget about winning the league. That's not saying everything is bleak, just a proper observation. n
Fair enough, then I apologise and agree with you. It's just some of your posts were coming across as rather bleak. I'm hopeful that now we have our star players coming back and have the ability to rotate (essential now the FA Cup is ramping up), then we should see an improvement - at least once we get out of our tricky Jan fixture list.
I'm not sure that Cini's glass even has a drop of liquid in it, let alone being half empty. That is, if he even has a glass .... ?

Last 7 away games. We won at Villa and Swansea. We lost Cocquelin at WBA (possibly Norwich as well, never mind they beat manure at old trafford) game swe should and could have won. Southampton I accept was a debacle. Liverpool and Stoke I refuse to accept, and think we did well. So 1 in 6 is not as bad as it seems.
I agree with those pissed off with you being top of the league...cos it pisses me off How can you not feel positive...you've drawn 2 tough away games and are top of the prem? Some of you lot are odd
There's nothing about misleading the stats, it's a fact we have won only 1 in our last 6, you bring up the win against Swansea, ok, so 2 wins in 7, not exactly any better. I mean seriously, was that your grand argument to show we haven't been bad away from home, that instead of 1 win out 6, it's in fact 2 wins out of 7? Is that meant to show how great we have been away from home???? And mentioning the West Brom and Norwich games as we 'should' and 'could' have won means nothing, we didnt win, full stop, that's all that matters, we lost one, and drew the other. You just did a whole whitewash of those 6 games to discount the poor form, simple fact, 6 away games, 1 win, you can put any spin you want about oh we should have won this game or we should have won that game, or we were unlucky in this game, or we were so much better in that game, none of that means anything, the only thing that does matter is the results and the points you get. They don't hand out trophies at the end of the season to would have could have 'unlucky' teams, they hand it to the teams who got the most points, not the team with the most excuses, which is all you've served up now, excuse after excuse. Don't know why it's so hard to just say 1 win in 6 away games is not good enough, especially when we want to win the league, that's not being a 'doom monger' or being 'negative', it's just a normal fact, 1 win in 6 away games has never been considered 'good' and is always considered poor, and needing improvement on.
They hand out a trophy at the end of the season to the team who is top of the league. Currently we are top of the league, so in my book we must be doing something right
Statistically 2 out of 7 is way better than 1 out of 6. One has a ratio of 1:3.5 and the other ratio is 1:6...big big difference imo
It's still **** form, 2 wins out of 7 away games for a title chasing side is not good enough and needs to improve.
You could equally present it as only two defeats in seven away games-not too bad, formwise. That's not spinning either.
Let's be frank here. This, is one f*cked up season! There will be more shock results before it ends, of that I'm certain and every team has had games they're not proud of so far this year. As it stands however we're top of the league. Not only that but we're there whilst coping with ridiculous amounts of injuries. We're soon to get back 3 of our best players in Özil, Sanchez and Coquelin with important squad players also approaching fitness. In my mind we're in a superb position to push on now. We need to really get behind the team and help them believe they can do it.
