1 month loan deal apparently. Im guessing we will get in another striker then. Harrison leaving will mean just Gaffney, Easter and Taylor. Lucas is already out on loan.
How odd. As you say, that only leaves us 3 strikers so let's hope it means we're getting another in - preferably Tubbs.
DC just said its not his decision. Ge wants Harrsion to stay but Harrison wants to go but on loan as he is hungry for game time and wants a run of games but DC cant give him it. DC chose Hartlepool because they have a few games coming up against teams around us and Harrison wants to prove himself to DC by trying to hinder our rivals with Hartlepool. DC said he is not left short as its just a month and if needs must, Bodin can play up front and if needed, we can always loan someone in.
Just looked at Sky Sports transfer news, it mentions on there that Harrison is on his way to Hartlepool on loan for a month
http://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk/n...onkhouse-role-in-hartlepool-loan-2908673.aspx New loan signing Ellis Harrison has revealed that some advice from former Pools star Andy Monkhouse helped seal his move to Victoria Park. Harrison played alongside the winger at Bristol Rovers last term and, even though Monkhouse moved on to Grimsby Town during the summer, the pair have remained in touch. And the 21-year-old striker has admitted that when the chance to join Pools on loan came up, the first call he made was to Monkhouse, who made 331 appearances for the Club between 2006 and 2014. “I spoke to Andy and, to be honest, he was one of the main factors in me coming here,” Harrison explained. “He bigged up the Club so well to me and told he how much he had loved it here and said that I would as well – and I trust everything he says. “Monks really looked after me at Bristol last year; the year before I was in a bit of a pickle but when he came in he was just so good with me and put me on the right path – I’ve not looked back since.” Harrison remains highly-regarded at The Memorial Stadium and proved his worth by coming off the bench to score a late winner in Rovers’ 2-1 triumph at Oxford United on Sunday. It was the youngster’s seventh goal of a campaign which has stalled slightly in recent months and he’s determined to re-ignite it by discovering his best form for Pools in the coming weeks. “It’s games that I have come for,” he told us. “Even if I had scored a hat-trick for Bristol Rovers on Sunday I was still going to be coming to Hartlepool to play games. “I am 21 now and I broke through really early at 17 but didn’t really play the next season so to get games now is really important to me. “Last season I didn’t start off too well and didn’t get a sniff early on but I finally broke through and scored a lot of goals and I started this season quite well. “But I went away with Wales a few times and I think it killed my flow at club level so now I really need to get back in to things. “For anyone my age, getting games is the most important thing and if you’re sat in the cold watching games then you aren’t learning so coming to a club like Hartlepool is great for me.” The powerful and pacey Welshman will go straight in to the squad for Tuesday evening’s trip to Accrington Stanley as Ronnie Moore’s men look to catch-up on some of the games they’ve lost to the weather. And Harrison admitted that the fact Pools’ schedule is packed full of fixtures in the coming weeks was another key factor in him agreeing his move to the north-east. “Hopefully I will get a start on Tuesday but if I don’t then I am going to come off the bench and try my hardest for the whole time I am here. “One of the reasons I came here was the amount of games I could be involved in and I know that Hartlepool are a good team having played against them over the years. “It’s a good set-up here and a good club so coming here is brilliant.” Read more: http://gasheads.org/thread/4466/elliis-goes-hartlepool?page=3#ixzz3xc6ToPwj
Hope your right CJS, but if he doesn't sign a new contract he goes free if he goes now a least we would get a fee for him
Unless the offer is silly, DC will risk keeping him and losing him on a free in the summer. I think though he will stay.
