We improved after he came on???? Really???? He ran out of ideas going forward and stopped a good run when he could have got into the penalty box. When he lost the ball on the halfway line he just ran alongside their player, didn't tackle didn't look interested, who put in a cross for a goal.
Some very interesting tweets Cromer. I've mostly found Rusty to be suspect against a pacy winger. Eddie Howe obviously did his homework and thought he'd be 'the weakest link' and so it proved. AN had the balls to drop JR, let's hope he can repeat the feat with RM!!!!
With a new CB and RB I doubt we'll be seeing much more of Russ in yellow. I expect he will probably join Blackburn in the summer and will go with, I imagine, the thanks of most fans for his service.
I think you're right, in that we won't see that much of him, and I hope you're right, that if he does leave anytime soon, I hope he gets the mother of all send-offs as he deserves
I think he will be a big asset to the squad, it was just difficult for anyone to shine the way the whole team played, plus he was out of position, he needs to play central.
Something needs mixing up, I'm not to sure on Brady playing as a full back either as he was one of our main assist providers. Saw a statistic somewhere that we've conceded 14 goals from crosses! I read a Croatian review on Pinto was a bit concerned as the journalist didn't rate him, but we all seem the same differently so he might be a handy player.
I'd rather see Brady further up the field - we've missed his creative touch I think. Perhaps play Jarvis on the right wing with Brady on the left with Tettey and Howson in the centre, with either Vadis, Wes or Naismith (hopefully) just behind the striker.
Read my post. I specifically said I wasn't saying he played well. But yes, really, we did improve after he came on. There was more space and we actually got in behind them. Football isn't just about the guy with the ball, and Redmond didn't play well but he brought more onto the pitch.
Pretty much agree with this ocf. I don't think Hoolahan has played well recently, so maybe not have him in the starting 11.
Bloody hell ILD, when I first read your comment I thought you were referring to Martin. I nearly burst a blood vessel.
Has anyone located the lowlights from this match? The only reason I ask is that I watched the second half, but missed this tackle by Rudd which Eddie Howe is still whining pathetically about. Which leads me to a different point that I now think Bournemouth will definitely stay up - they are very, very smart at diving in the box and winning penalties. I have not seen a team so determined to win a penalty every game - I get now why one of my mates (a Watford fan) disliked them so much on the basis of them having won the Championship based on the numbers of penalties. It's a real skill, you have to give it to them.
No probs. Hoofoot is generally good for highlights for a few days after the games, then the links tend to go down.
