If Shelvey turns out to be half the player Terry Hibbitt was, he'll do for me. Tommy Craig wasn't that bad either.
Going back to the title of this thread Shelvey and Jesus do have a similarity in that they like a good cross.
You have to face up to the truth sometimes, he already has had a four week ban for those accidental elbows
God. I promise not to take your lads name in vain. So please let us sell Willo, Marv and Gouff, sign a quality CB, LB and CF and stay up. If we do I'll....
2 points Re: Jonjo Tatically our game suits him, playing two DM's leaves quite a big gap between the Defence/Dm's and our Attacking players, whereas putting Shelvey directly in the middle allows Colback to do his job at the back with no confusion with the other DM and it allows Wijnaldum to occupy the opposition DM's, freeing up space in the middle for Jonjo to pick out passes left right and centre. He can also make late runs to the into or just outside the box and will rarely get picked up. Mentality - A lot has been said by the Swansea fans and I have a mate who knew Jonjo early days at Charlton and there was one game, around the 60th min Shelvey was playing well, but the manager took him off. After the game he was having a frink with my mate and he told me about how depressed shelvey was, how he couldnt understand why he was taken off and why the manager didnt say anything to him. From the sounds of it. Jonjo is a confidence player, that shouldnt be a bad thing, it just requires the right kind of management, which with our staffing structure we should be able to provide. Im exciting to have him here especially after the West Ham performance, plent more of that and I wont mind the occassional slip up or miss placed pass!
