Looks like LVG will stay in the meantime....until we lose to Midgetland in the Europa Paint trophy.

Fellaini did OK and got an assist. Fair play.

There's been so much negativity around Fellaini on this board. Heck, Stan and Treble even mentioned red card before the game started. Why? How ironic that he created the chance.

Fellaini was good at stopping them controlling the middle

How did Lucas not get booked and Smalling got a yellow for ERM... What did he get a yellow for?

Fellaini has a place, we ate incredibly weak without him and in battles like today, there's a reason he plays.

He was our best midfielder by miles. The other two were rubbish.

Saw the first 15 minutes, I thought we started well. Heard the rest on radio and it seemed like we weren't great. BUT much as I don't rate Van Gaal, beating Liverpool supercedes all that, every time! Great result!

    Get. the. fck. in.

Heard on the radio that Smalling was brilliant. Wonder if @Blueman and @Bodanki were watching <whistle>

I could never fault Fellaini when it comes to effort. He is by no means in group of most gifted players at the club. But when on the pitch, he gives it the best that he can offer. The term best in that statements is relative. Best of Fellaini is obviously not the same as that of Mata/Depay (for random examples). But if Mata and Depay can't bring their A game due to lack of intensity or care, then I would take the best of Fellaini all day long until they find a way to bring their 'A' game to the team. It's as simple as that for me.

    The RS crying <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

One shot on target one goal. That is the one match that the ****ing result is all. And LVG can be excused his overcautious approach. DeGea was immense as usual.

    Great weekend. <ok>

Yeh this is where we go from one extreme to another based on one result. Fellaini is average and barely a squad player. He's actually played reasonably well by his standards in the last 3 games. I said as much in the previous 2 matchday threads... but then I don't base my opinions on just the result.

Anyway, I have to say you can't help having some degree of respect for Klopp. His post-match interview was very well balanced and pragmatic.

It's the simple fact that a player like Fellaini is at United that grates on me.

To be fair the more reasonable Mickeys are telling @astroturfnaut to get his head out of his arse and suck up the defeat.

Are you saying @astroturfnaut is having a #meltdown on his own board? Has he turned on Klopp yet? Or reminded them of his views on Klopp before he joined?
