I'd be tempted to put Ibe on for Can really early on (50-55 mins) and have him running at that Borthwick-Jackson and testing him.
we've kept Martial back in his own half which is why they've looked poor when they've been in our half
I think LVG will be happy. Perverse as it sounds given it means his team will end up with a growing gap to 4th. We are just not good enough and it's shown... the CMs are wanting runs pass for 1/2s but not to get in there on the end of anything early.
I actually thought we've looked ok, created some good opportunities and their defense hasn't really been able to cope whilst our defense/midfield have easily countered what they've tried to do. If Firmino, Henderson or Lallana had a bit more composure, we'd be flying ahead. Not sure Benteke is the solution, but I wouldn't change anything anyway just yet. United will be made up with 0-0
We were the better team but that isn't really saying much. Really Lallana should of done better with his pass, it's a bit disjointed all over the pitch with both teams setting up similar. I do think we need to calm down a bit in the middle, United can be exploited, we just need to work it better in the congested areas. Firmino is having a decent game again.
Ah well... as long as we don't lose here..... that's where we are at. Keep going and try to be more controlled second half... maybe create a genuine chance at some point.
Sooner Can wakes up, the sooner we can win the game. He's been poor, but Henderson and Milner are dogs. Some positive play in the final third but mostly looks tentative and nervy. Firmino has been good, and Sakho seeks to have found his groove.
Need Milner off and Ibe on to exploit the space and run at them. Allen on later for Lallana of Firminho. Mings has had a good game, only because he has not had anything to do though.

A midfield of Milner, can, Lucas and hendo. Imagine if we were told that was our future during our 13/14 season? It's a shocking midfield which klopp needs to overhaul. One of those 4 should be playing at any time.
If Can doesn't start bright, bring Pirlo on for him, get a bit of composure in there. Ibe for Lallana too.
Also, should Fellaini be off? Shoves Milner to the ground with a shove to the chest then stamps on Lucas and not even a yellow...
