Well it is a new day, so well learned. There's no argument about whether he's a "try hard" - you don't think he does, neither do I - he succeeds. In terms of goals, he'll be involved in well over 50 premier league goals before he's 23. What's needed is what he brings. When he has the confidence to just hit it, not worry about missing, feed on instinct, see what happens. We want to and arguably have to play 4-2-3-1, which means we need a target man. There ain't many, and this kid has a fairly superb supporting cast now. He is growing, he's far from perfect, but give me effort, stature and potential above what I've seen in the past decade. He bullies, he imposes - do not underestimate how important that is. Or how difficult it is. He's a cut above, mate, and when your strange tune changes to something more lucid I in turn won't hold it against you - he's one of ours, man.
ha ha , knew a lad in sunday league that could [ping passes like that all day long lol .. on fb its getting stupid diagrams of passes and boxes ..dear me if we had iniesta then they wouldnt even atempt it , the diagrams of passes def getting carried way lol
The wheels are flying off the Pardew love train. Those Palace fans licking his hoop last year will have the bedsheets out soon. Rinse... And repeat....
A win is great news but we must start putting our chances away. And we must sign a left back. And a centre half. And a striker.
Heskey @ 21, you're probably right. I'm also describing Duncan Ferguson, Andy Carroll, Alvaro Negredo, Alan Shearer, Didier Drogba, Bafe Gomis, Romelu Lukaku, Diego Costa.
Pretty confident those players had scored more goals in English football, bar Negredo, Drogba, Gomis Costa for obvious reasons Looking through the stats, only Costa is comparable. He suddenly started scoring for At Madrid one season.
You only have to consider one thing from yesterday, Mitrovic the STRIKER was 5 yards behind Gini when Gini scored, enough said.
I thought Mitrovic had a good game yesterday, until it came to the little bit about putting the ball in the back of the net. Ultimately, he'll be judged by the number of goals he scores, and unless he starts taking chances, I fear for his long term future here. We were fortunate yesterday, that we didn't need him to convert very good opportunities.
