    What when he signed for Liverpool? All due respect they are a big name, they were signing the likes of Suarez and were a top half team. We are perennial relegation battlers signing mid table players. Money does talk I don't deny it but its a different ball game hoping for a sought after European striker who can get paid anywhere. I suppose he could just not try and have a relegation release clause <laugh> Lyon score and he does in the summer.

    Don't get me wrong I'd welcome him but it seems more than far fetched

    Out of contract and wanted the move. He is injury prone but he is good for 20-25 games a season. He'll score 12-15 goals in that time. In a team like ours that would guarantee survival. Maybe even mid table.

    He won't be coming to Newcastle, has already stated he is not interested. If he were to change his mind, or be left with no choice but to come, then l would have serious concerns about where his head would be at.
    If he is not truly committed and wants the move then he will fail and that's another sqillion million quid down the pan.

    Andros Townsend is almost done. Expected within 48 hours. Thauvin to go to Marseilles. Once Thauvin moves, Townsend joins.

    Lacazette - Graham Carr is currently in France talking to Lyon. The bid has been accepted and we are talking to his agent. He wants to come to the PL, but to sign for either a CL side, or one that will be in the future.
