Poor timing on that comment, Allen's been great recently <ok>

The only negative feelings I have towards Swansea is that you were stupid to #kneejerk and sack Monk

Looks like it's going to cost you PL football. Joe and Jonjo will still be here though.

Would you want Monk to manage Liverpool?

No, but he isn't a Liverpool legend who delivered our best results ever before hitting a poor patch (which his sacking hasn't even come close to fixing)

If we get relegated , Monk's contribution will be the lions share ..
27 million pounds for Allen and Shelvey is just good business f. Shelvey because he wasn't working in our system , Allen because we have a lot of good midfielders , laughed a bit watching Rodgers bring Allen with him at that price .
We even got 5 million for Rodgers.

I've always liked Jon Jo, and he can be a match winner, but this clip was the one that shows me he couldn't be bothered to make any effort.

Plus the photo of him afterwards in the changing rooms with s bottle of beer. We ****ing lost the prick!!

Our biggest mistake with Monks sacking, was that the board should have done it earlier after the Norwich game. Notice now that he's unemployed, that no club looking for a manager had gone in for him!!

Lost his confidence playing under BR. He's a very talented footballer.

We'll still be in the PL next season, Jonjo won't :)

it's funny that all the experts who say we shouldn't have sacked monk have no involvement in the club and maybe watch 3 minutes of us on MOTD , Come back when you do a bit of a research and with a reasoned argument on why he should have stayed

Apparently they are raving about Jonjo's 60 yard diagonal pass yesterday. How many of those did we see? and how many were successful?

In all the pro and con posts about Shelvey being kicked around on here , with good points from both sides , fianacially I think it should be stated that Shelvey paid back his original transfer fee we spent on him and basically paid his own wages while he was here upon his sale .....depending on what Liverpool's sell on clause amounts to .What the clause amounts to for Liverpool seems to have disappeared from the media since being reported anywhere from 500 thousand to 3.6 million .just another thing we'll have to guess at I guess .

They were also raving about his first pass which helped set up the assist for the first goal. He only passed it forward 10 yards <laugh>

You are correct in saying that he wasn't the only rubbish player on the pitch. He is however supposedly an England International. Many of our players were either under 21 or lesser squad players. Who else would you expect to perform to the best of their abilities against League 2 opposition. Whatever he was like for Newcastle, he obviously could not be bothered to do it for us, so 12 million for us is good business in my opinion.

His being a "supposed",(actually he is),international,is not really relevant.
On the day the entire team were shocking, and I would have anticipated some of the so called "lesser squad players" to have put a shift in. Try to impress, etc.
The performance against Oxford clearly indicated the new depths that have been plumbed by the Club.
Singling out Shelvey is not good enough, and unreasonable.

Something happened re Shelvey and his tenure at the Club became impossible,so his leaving became inevitable.
It was a good deal, financially, for The Swans',and currently Newcastle are quite ecstatic with their new signing.
It remains to be seen if it all continues.

How do you know "he couldn't be bothered"?
Are you privy to what was going on in the background which may have affected/influenced,his performances?
Of course, you are not. Just like everyone who is currently aiming arrows in his direction.

I wish him well. He did some good things whilst wearing the Swans' shirt, now he has gone on to bigger, and better things.

Remembering his good days, and wishing him bon voyage will cost you nothing, but I sense that's a price you are unable to pay.

I am not aiming any arrows at Shelvey, just giving an opinion. I also do not know whether he could be bothered or not. But on that note, are you saying you thought he put in a shift and could be bothered?

I've already stated that the entire team were rubbish. So what do you need from me? Do you want
    me to single him out?

You are entitled to your opinion, but I got the impression that Shelvey was in your sights, just as he is with quite a few on this forum. <cheers>
