I cant get over the lack of game time he has been afforded with us. The guy is a natural finisher but needs service! He does/did need to get fitter though imo. Neither here nor there atm as we have a good striker in Mbokani. Its our CB, CM and RM we need to sort.
I totally agreed with people who said he needed to work much harder and get fitter. But his record for us is very respectable, and he didn't get a run in the team. I think trust in him and a run in the team in the premiership would have motivated him to get fit and work harder. We will never know, coz he never got given the games.
Haha! I got a like from that! I'm not saying you were one who disagreed with me Braveheart, But when I said this months ago, I got so many messages about how **** he is and hasn't earned his place. Funny to get likes. Grabban I would have sold, said that for a long time. I would have given Lafferty a chance, but he will never get played, so might as well move him on. Out of the 3, Hooper I would have kept, as I said months ago. He is a finisher. He knows where to be, and how to put it away. He just needs to be on the pitch, and get some supply! I'm sure if he was a premiership regular he'd be fitter and work harder. Sat in the reserves or being a super sub, for a player who has been the top scorer and main player at every other club. Not really had to see why he was disillusioned.
Four goals in two games for the play off placed Owls tells everybody what he can do given the required service.
I've always liked the new 'GH' and I feel his downfall was that he came back at the start if the season looking as though 'he'd eaten ALL the pies!!' When both GH and CJ were on the pitch together last season, they combined well for several goals.
Ironic that all this new found for he who clearly ate all the pies should occur when he's on the verge of departure from the club!
Yep...Being say that for a while. See you get likes for agreeing with me, and I got people telling me he was fat and lazy!
I hear what you're saying Cromer, but my feeling on the topic is that he should have come back for the new season much fitter than he was and who knows what may have happened. Whatever the outcome is, I wish him all the best
I fully agree, BH. Maybe with the type of service Brady and Jarvis can supply, we might have seen a better side of him - but it's looking more and more like we'll never know.
Que? Are you being cryptic, Kemp, as clutching at straws could relate to a whole raft of things NCFC related?
.....Yes....If you read all my posts before, you'll see I wanted us to play him coz he's a natural goalscorer... Like I've been saying, I got shot down coz he was fat and lazy. Read through the previous posts Gandy
goals Personally I think he´s a Championship striker at best, he had chances to start at PL level with us, and failed miserably to take them. Naturally he´s going to score some goals at a lower level, as he did in Scotland, but then again he´s getting more chances to score, as he did north of the border. In the Premier League he´ll only get one or two chances at most, per game, if he´s lucky. He´s better off where he is imo.
