I hate myself for having this thought, but I am starting to think that I might rather the goons won the league than Leicester. Obviously I would love us to win it and then city would be my next choice but given the choice between the goons and new wimbledon its an almost impossible choice
So did chelsea when they asked to speak to Arnesen ... then they leaked it after we refused permission. If we haven't agreed, how do the press know? The same way they always know I suspect...once they get an answer they do not like they leak it
To his credit, at least Guus says it like it is, instead of fawning to the media hysteria that the rightful order of things has resumed and balance will be restored to the universe as every team from 13th upwards humbly shuffles out of the slumbering giants' way as they awaken from their slumber: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35324375
None of the reports say we agreed...if we had agreed then I would have thoight that would have been part of the articles. why are you being so arsey?
I am sorry i feel suitably chastised, i will sit in the corner quietly with my beer and contemplate the error of my ways
I am not being arsey at all, it's just that because a link in the media suggests something you and others prefer to dismiss as cheap and lazy journalism, doesn't mean it isn't true just because you don't want to believe it. A newspaper reports United want McDermott. You say it's cobblers. I say it's true and they made an approach in the right way. What is arsey about that ?
Only just seen this post but I've got to say it is exactly how I feel. Watching them on MOTD was refreshing, I thought they pressed well and broke well. Agree that after those two games I now dislike them. Just finished watching them against Villa. They could only score from the direct ball from Schmeichel (who I do rate as a very good keeper). Fuchs is the new Delap-he actually has a very good throw. Against us it was only from corners. They are going down next season-you heard it here first.
Palace have now failed to score in their last 5 PL games (0-0, 0-0, 0-3, 1-0, 4-0), which sets things up nicely for a visit from the world's most benevolent team on Saturday
I did not suggest it was lazy journalism...I am pissed off as a Spurs fan, that the press are constantly used to tap up our players...you came across as arsey by saying "who said we didn't agree"...I answered that question and you have ignored it. Imo it wasn't lazy journalism re Carrick, Arnesen, keane, Berbatov, Modric and Bale...it was the press being used by bigger clubs to tap up our players...and all I did was express that it irritates me...fine to disagree but at least have the courtesy to disagree with my actual point rather than some imagined one
I was merely trying to point out that you are completely wrong if you think United tapped up McDermott. I wish I hadn't bothered.
