I've enjoyed the last few days, this thread has been positive all the way through and I believe directly responsible for us winning 2 games and signing last years number 4 top scorer! :)

Great to see you guys too. My round next time!

Good day - good win, a tad chilly, but the news from SA warmed me up too. If only Chelski had lost .....

Why? Their late goal meant we went above Everton into the top half. :)

This new tactic where Sadio wears the opposition defence out and Dusan picks them off, I thought that was a bit of luck against Watford, but to do it again against WBA surely not coincidence?

To be fair to them, I think West Brom offered a little more than Watford did. AND they had a right back who stopped Targett getting so far forward.
A solid defensive performance (apart from the Jose error in the 87th minute which, just for a second, I thought he'd given the ball away. But if he only makes those in the 87th minute when we're 3-0 up I'll take it!)
VVD, Fraser, Ryan, Cedric all very good. Jose steady. Targett ok, but more defensive than Wednesday because of their threat. Steven Davis magnificent, Prowsey's great goals and dead ball playing, Long kept running and running and Sadio just needs one to go in. Big Vic ruled midfield and looked steady.

One thing I noticed - did anyone else? Myhill, their goalie, stayed out at half time and wasn't even tested by their coach. He was at the other end from where their subs were keeping warm. Does anyone know what went on their? Did he upset Tony Pulis? Didn't he want a cuppa or a wee at half time? Perhaps the rest of the team blamed him for the first half goals? We thought it very strange!

Myhill came out with some footballs and was testing the kick out, then appeared to run out of balls and just stayed, running up and down to keep warm, odd, no odder than being starting GK though, when you saw who was on the bench.

Really enjoyed the game, haven't read all the previous posts but I imagine Steve Davis has come in for lots of praise? Shouldn't really pick anyone out as the whole team looked good including the subs but great to see Matt Targett pushing forward, VVD and Cecil also stood out for me.
In truth WBA looked a very poor side and the game was all but finished when JWP flashed in his first, have to admit as he was linning up for the free kick I turned to my made and said 'its about time Prowsey upped his game, he hasn't looked like scoring all season' Oooops.

Top work Saints today - difficult to play against Pulis' teams at times, but scored goals at good times. Happy for Prowsey. Long terrific, and Stevie Davis superb - absolutely superb.

    And Vin's hat!

Great to see you too. My 13 year old daughter is fascinated by the vinyl. I'm going to have to get me a little turntable now.

Must say I found it a bit difficult watching SRL winding down his career on the WBA bench.

Precisely. That's what he does, consistently and unspectacularly.

Davis reports from people who actually went to the match - tireless, tenacious, magnificent, absolutely superb. Still a poster here though who would like to replace him! :) not me btw

I thought Myhill looked a little iffy all game in fairness.
