He hasn't had issues with partying etc for ages. He has settled down and become a level headed guy. It just seems crazy running him down before he has even stepped on a pitch. This isn't anything to do with what I said. I was getting at how positive things about the club are always believed were as negative ones aren't. This is your opinion about a guy that has scored where ever he has been.
His Twitter account is comprised mostly of him dancing with his daughter. If nothing else, when combined with Long's singing, we're well on our way to having a traveling troupe of street performers.
Which is exactly my point. Lol. Look fellas, I've just never liked Austin as much as others seem to. I can't change my mind about him and think he's awesome just because he signed for us. I'm no scout. I could be dead wrong about Austin. I'm wrong all the time. Plus, like I said before you can't argue with his scoring record. I think I said the same thing this summer-- that I did not like Austin that much for whatever reason, but he was an intriguing option. So, considering what he cost us I am happy to trust the Board on this. I feel like I am being positive. Despite the fact that I have some personal misgivings, this is a good deal and one which I understand. Everyone should be happy that even a guy who isn't that into Austin thinks this is a decent deal for us. And I seriously hope Austin scores 100 goals for us. I will be rooting for him. I feel like people think I'm doing the Tintin thing and projecting gloom and acting like I have the answers. I really don't. There are players I like and players I don't and sometimes I don't even know why it's a good thing no one listens because I would be terrible at running a club.
Big guy, football brain, takes a good penalty, natural finisher, started his career in the lower leagues - remind you of anyone ?
Austin has time on his side, but Rickie has done far more. Couldn't possibly say Charlie is better at this stage.
He might not be the best striker in the world, but he's just about a perfect fit. Big, but mobile, a top finisher who also isn't afraid to pass the ball. We might still be in the market for a striker if we opt to move Pelle on this summer, but Austin will make us better.
Austin is a better goal scorer. Lambert holds the ball up better. Both are different types of players. But I have to admit to always liking Austin more.
Austin is a more natural finisher. If he's fit he should definitely start at Old Trafford. Austin is exactly what we have been missing for years. With him, we could make a push for the European spots.
Well he does have a good record already in the PL which makes a change from the players we normally sign. A 4 and half year contract is a good result for him. If he hits the ground running how many of those 4 and half years will he stay do you think before the big ones start clambering?
