Wow, that was important. Some real positives in there... some negatives too.

In the end we were quite comfortable. We shot ourselves in the leg, gifted another goal, as we did at Watford, and for ManUs 2nd. This needs to stop. That's 3 goals in 3 games from simple defensive hashes.

Good result. But we have to start taking some of these chances. We could storm up the league if we can just apply the finish?

We're crying out for a finisher. Remy would have had 4 goals today, I **** you not. Even Cissé would have gotten a couple. Too back big Andy wasn't playing, he would have missed that Jelavic chance on purpose.

Apart from scoring tho Mitro has been very good. All over the place, never stops working, he's cut out for this league for sure. And he keeps getting chances, sooner or later the goals will come. Perez didn't look too happy about coming off but such is life. Hope Dummett isn't really injured and it's just a precaution cause Colback is a yellow away from 2 game ban and then we're ...on Mbabu at leftback?

Saivet looked alright too, quiet but got in the right areas, didn't give away stupid fouls or a penalty, didn't try to run upfield and score from 50 yards out, kept it simple, did he job.

    From the BBC.....

    Aleksandar the great
    Newcastle 2-1 West Ham

    Posted at16:49
Very rarely do you see a striker have the most touches of the ball for his team. Normally a midfielder or defender get the honour but this is Aleksandar Mitrovic today.

The striker has had 61 touches - that's more than Jonjo Shelvey in midfield (59). Some graft on show for sure.

Again Mitrovic doesn't look the player for this level, a yard short in thought and ability.

He did everything but score for once I was encouraged by a performance, however were still fragile mentally but wins will help.

I still think he'll come good. He's starting to really have a big input in games and just needs to find his confidence in front of goal and it will click into place.

He's a striker unless he finds the net and scores 10 to 14 goals between now and the end of the season then his input is a waste of space, he is here to score not create a great pitch map.

He's been left to do a lot on his own this season which is unfair on a young lad trying to adjust to the league. We need another striker in to give him some support. He is here to score goals and I think he will, but as long as he keeps creating space and opening up opportunities for others I don't really mind who scores as long as we win.
