They have good players, but not a single world class player other than the GK. Out of all those players, only De Gea would walk into any top side. These players are all making it into one side though, Manchester United, and as we see, it's not going very good for them. 7th, last year 4th, and now sitting in 6th.
Despite leaving White Hart Lane in September, Adebayor is being paid in full by Spurs until he finds a new club or for the duration of his old contract that would have expired at the end of this season under the terms of his exit. Incredibly, that means the striker remains Tottenham’s highest earner, on more than double what Harry Kane currently pockets, even though he is no longer contracted to the club. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ated-by-Tottenham-still-paying-his-wages.html
Adebyaor, the epitome of the worst example of a modern footballer, what a dumb **** wit. And in all honesty, Spurs deserve it, wasn't bad enough he turned out **** for his greedy-lazy ways at both Arsenal and City, and they still decided to go for him, and something tells me they did just because they had Arsenal in mind, you can almost see that **** wit Levy thinking oh we will get this former Arsenal player and hope he can thrive just to do one over Arsenal and make them look at how he's thriving at Spurs.
Adebayor could have been one of the World's best strikers. After his 30 goal season, if he'd just stuck his head down and worked harder, rather than wanting more money he would have been quality for us.
Similarly with Anelka too. I think he followed the same sort of pattern but failed to live up to expectations, though Anelka did more at the end of his career with Chelsea, whereas Ade is p1ssing his prime years away. Anelka could have been up there with Henry...
3-1 now. I have to say, Sunderland really do have some bloody awful players in their team. It's no wonder they are where they are in the league. So much dross.
Speaking of crap teams, Everton have scored a last-minte winner against Chelsea to win the game 3-2. Chelsea's defence is bloody terrible. If we don't beat them next week, I truly despair.
Yeah, perhaps I spoke too soon. 3-3 now. But the fact remains that they still don't look like a particularly good side, especially their defence, and anything less than 3 points next week will be a disgrace.
For all this talk of Chelsea's revival, and whilst they may well be undefeated under Hiddink, they've had 1 win in the last 5 league matches, 4 of which were draws. It doesn't exactly do them much good, does it?
Not only did Chelsea get a massive 7 minutes of injury time, but the ref felt the need to give them an extra 1 minute for good measure. Oh and Terry's goal was about a yard off-side....
I think the outrage should be towards the offside, not the time. It was 2-2 when they decided on 7 minutes and after that Everton scored (an automatic 30 seconds extra) and they spent an age celebrating what they thought was the winner (understandably). The 7 mins was as likely to benefit Everton at the time as Chelsea. I assume there must have been a lengthy delay in the second half?
Anyone watching the Liverpool-Man Utd game? Neither team can keep the ball in play for longer than 30 seconds! The amount of throw-ins and goal kicks have been ridiculous. Been a bit dull so far. All very laboured.
Yeah it's been pretty **** so far. Herrera is the only one doing anything in midfield for Utd other than fellainis knock downs that have mainly failed. Martial and Rooney have had no service at all and have failed to really get into the game other than odd moments (well played martial in defense stopping Firmino). When Utd did have space on the left with martial, Rooney and fellainis all in space they instead chose to switch the ball, then go back to the keeper. The first moments of the game suggested Utd would be more offensive but they've resorted to there mind numbing passing game and even that is failing. Young looked up for it but now he is off. Liverpool have looked OK, in my opinion they have got away with loads of fouls. Firmino is looking dangerous, he has been rubbish for Liverpool in general but against us and today he seems to be finding his groove. Some good pressing and build up play but lacking anything incisive in the final third really. Overall I agree quite a dull match.
1-0 to United in the 78th minute. Rooney. How they're leading this game I have no idea. They've been awful!
Simple, you score 1 more goal than the other team and you are leading. If you had done that against Stoke you would have won
