Entertaining opening 20, officials missed a stone wall PK for Forestieri, big fan of his actually so hope he doesn't come back to haunt me now Doukara should be on a hat-rick now if he could finish!
Ran well but just not quite up to the level of the winner as we probably already knew beforehand. Close, but no cigar.
Sod the 4-miler Willie, get Black Hercules in the RSA where he belongs. Nothing to do with my 25/1 ticket btw
Lovely effort by Thomas Hobson today, jumping much improved and wins handy. Spoke too soon, he jumped the last two badly but won anyway. Altior still looks well ahead of him though.
Mullins third tier stuff getting 1-2s in English Grade 2s. Deary, deary me. Will be a long week for the English in March methinks...<whosebiting>
Roundly cut for both races Oddy, the defeat of Pont opens the door for the RSA. Possibly Killutagh Vic could step up tomorrow as an RSA chance. Proven at the track and beat Thistlecrack over 3m too.
1.01 backers on stick to bite first go and collect Hardly a boost for Altior though do you think stick? I just can't see Thomas Hobson being near the top of the Mullins pecking order. Nicholls' Modus isn't good enough for the novice Grade Ones. Not sure what else he has?
Merely pointing out the obvious Beefy that it wasn't all that well contested a race. Although still far better contested than every grade 1 in Ireland was last year...and the year before....and the year before that......etc
Mmmm....We'll just see how well contested these Grade Ones are in March stick I guess. The big Anglo-Irish clashes as you call them will be interesting to see which way they go What's your main fancies mate?
I don't really get Mullins when he says Black Hercules could go RSA or the 4-miler? I know the National Hunt Chase is the oldest race in festival history but if you look at both races today, the RSA is a Grade 1 whilst the 4-miler is a listed affair for amateur riders. If Black Hercules goes the 4-miler it is blatent nepotism and Graham Wylie is a spineless twat. So there.
