That's very cheap.... Surprised there weren't a host of clubs in for him at that price.

Anyone in bottom half could use him to stave off relegation this year.

Does es make me wonder if there are more issues with his injuries though.

Exactly, would have been a dream come true for 'him who shall not be named'...bargain basement prices....and we'll go and spunk 12-15 million on someone I've probably never heard of before.

Very possible, but if he scored you 8 goals between now and end of season and won you 7 games to avoid relegation then you've more than made your money back.

disappointed, but maybe he was't the right fit. Think we need players who are mobile and can play on the counter attack.

    4mil tho... wow

Seems like good business. Of course he could have gone anywhere in summer, maybe was handed a big signing on fee that they're not telling us about.

Even if hes a complete crock we've bought worse ... eg. Riviere/de Jong/Owen/Duff/Smith/etc etc etc

He wanted to stay down south - not much you can do to fight that.

Exactly - he clearly has said he doesn't want to come yet it's still the clubs and, in particular Mike Ashleys, fault that he hasn't signed for us!

He's got a family (young baby daughter) and didn't want to uproot them. I won't hold that against them, nor the club for not being able to fight it.

Though I am also glad that Carroll got injured the other day and same with Bas Dost! As long as we don't go back to looking at Rolan I would be satisfied
