Then why has Alonso got over double Massa's points while Button and Hamilton are tied on points?

I'm going to go with Alonso being a lot better than Massa, whilst Hamilton is only a little better than Button. I'd also rate Button well above Massa right now by the way :)
I'd also probably add the lead driver mentality that Ferrari have, but there we go.

Massa is very poor in qualifying though so he cant really take the race to Alonso.....but yes Alonso is a lot better than Massa.

Alonso is one of the best drivers on the grid. So is Hamilton. So is Button. Massa is not. And that's just how they like it at Ferrari: it makes life simpler and they couldn't care less about entertaining the fans, nor when all's said and done; any sporting code.

This is why I do not like them as a team. It is also the reason I will not buy another Ferrari.

Sorry what? You've invented a number there. Hamilton is faster and i respect his driving (not him) but i see the gap at around half of what you say.

In all fairness I've heard of the number 4 several times before, but I feel that wasn't your point ;)

If I was to make up (not make up) a number I'd say 2-3tenths in Quali with near equal gap in race trim (ish/this season/maybe/in my head)

Yeah, that's why I don't buy Ferrari's too. I could though, oh yes, definitely, you know, if I wanted to....

I find it laughable to some extent how Lewis fans can still ramble on saying Lewis was the whole reason getting it on the front row. Somehow he thinks up a number of being a second behind both Red Bull and Ferrari but yet shows the car as it has been over the season...towards the front and up there most of the time.

Jenson was quite possibly the flop of the whole qualifying session, unable to get heat into his tyres with it being so cold and never got the car to 100%. He could of pushed Seb down to 4th or Alonso to 5th if he wasnt so **** at qualifying. That car is seperated in time by a *** paper to the Red Bull, bollox is that thing the 3rd best car on the grid, more like just under first since Canada.

So what if Red Bull have aero advantage over McLaren? They have engine, mechanical grip and KERS advanatge over Seb and Mark. :emoticon-0118-yawn:

Absolute delusion from the McLaren side saying it's their drivers that make the difference. Even Alonso says 6 tenths is laughable to think of now since drivers today are so good, but a whole second? Please...go back to reading some pikey paper and believe what you want.

We all want to know which driver is best but, I think realistically, the top few are separated by their cars' performance and also by their state of mind. Lewis was so impressive yesterday because he's got his head back together, Seb lost his edge because he's feeling the pressure of racing at home; at least, his bit-too-emphatic denials to Lee McKenzie of disappointment or desperation to win in Germany suggest that to me.

Have you got a single shred of evidence to back up your rant Silver?

Lots of could's/should's/if's/but's in there. The results from the last couple of races clearly show McLaren behind Red Bull & Ferrari on both race pace and qualifying pace. The fastest McLaren has olny just finished ahead of Massa at both races!

I hate Ferrari. Cheating scum. Germany 2010 was a farce.

I swear if any team orders are used at Ferrari this year I will be as aggressive with my comments as you were when Hamilton had the Monaco saga.

Well, I'm not sure when Hamilton become "at least 4 tenths faster". You can't really say that because last year the average gap between them in qualifying wasn't very big. This year (excluding yesterday's qualifying as it hasn't been updated yet) the gap is... well, see for yourself.

Sorry PMC, but that isn't a good argument to have. If you're going to use statistics, we must all stop this debating and admit that Michael Schumacher is by far the best driver on the grid. Nobody can even get close him in terms of driver skill. He is the greatest of all time. If we all think Hamilton's lap was amazing, imagine what Schumacher would have done ....

I don't care. Hamilton is so obviously faster and you are trying to put a case for Button when your a Alonso fan.

I sometimes feel throwing a petrol bomb into this forum would calm things down.

It's obvious who needs to let's things go sometimes so can we please just do that. Or make points without getting personal.
