Well I'm sure Aarons is a month away from starting a game, but coming on for 15 minutes? Should be doable? If we're already losing, as we tend to be, Aarons is more likely to produce something than bringing on Goufran, Colback or Thauvin.

 

I don't think it's fair to criticise him for recommending talent that others already knew about. The thing about spotting 'hidden gems' is something that the media claimed rather than him. There are a multitude of talented players out there. If he managed to recommend ones that fitted in at Newcastle, especially if he knew of release clauses etc, then that should go in the positive column for him.

Maybe true but he's responsible for recruitment as well as talent spotting. Let's face it all decent players are known about by the top clubs.
