A bit late to tell you but JOS and Wes were bedrocks in a strong defence. Cannot recall either putting a foot wrong.
Check the offside law. He was onside when the ball was played forward from his own player Borini), hitting a defender on the way is irrelevant.
Naughton's red rescinded. Scott soundly and unanimously criticised but we are still waiting to hear from Sam Allardyce. (This is more a moan about your manager not Sunderland.) When at WHU he went to town after Chico Flores tried for an Oscar after being elbowed in the head by Carroll (having already been elbowed in the face by the same player in front of the referee - Chico was vilified by a section of the Swansea fans and eventually our idiot manager Monk got rid of him. I don't condone Flores but if you are being repeatedly fouled and the ref is repeatedly ignoring it what do you do?) 'So he (referee) can't be absolutely certain of what's happened, except that Chico Flores is over-exaggerating, which is generally the norm for him unfortunately. 'To clutch his face and roll around, I think that's had a big influence on Howard's decision, thinking that it's caught him in the face when it hasn't at all.' (It had and Chico had to be bandaged.) Allardyce also suggested Swansea should take action against Flores. Fast forward to Wednesday evening. M'Vila wasn't fouled, if there was any contact it was minimal, yet he went down clutching his leg rolled a bit made a big noise before Borini ran to the ref to add to the theatricals. As Naughton was red carded M'Vila was laughing and grinned at the crowd as he got up. Will someone please post on here when Sam takes action against M'Vila or Borini?
That means the Ref actually thought there was contact. ****ing hell. If he ever gets another game in the Premier League the FA needs lining up and shooting.
Agree. It's also the sort of performance that can get fans banned. OK, we should behave better but when such an obvious injustice happens, given some of us were closer to the incident than the ref of the inept lino) the red mist comes down if you are a heart & soul supporter. (Same on you for our penalty.)
Did not realise the M,Vila was laughing etc at the crowd and I find it personally horrible, but unfortunately overdoing the acting following a hard challenge is entrenched into football world wide. Personally happy that the red cad has been rescinded as the way I saw it our player kicked the foot of the challenger. The reaction was the cause of the card but the wisdom of the FA has righted it.
A bit understandable given the circumstances. They can't pin the defeat on that one incident but losing a player for that length of time was a handicap.
I honestly couldn't give 2 hoots though mate. Remember Brown's sending off against Stoke??? We have more bad decisions go against us than good, so it's a welcome change of events.
Have you got Welsh blood or something ffs ? Yes we were rightly Pissed off, but not to at the same level them lot are. They had a Penalty that shouldn't have been aswell remember.
No Welsh blood and only speaking from from the good of the game viewpoint. Have lived with long enough to learn from bad decisions, missed sitters, goalie howlers as part and parcel of the game. Had it happened to us then the reaction would have been similar, which I also find understandable.
I'll keep making the most of gloating while I can, cause the opportunity to do so doesn't arise very much being a Sunderland fan. Like I said, we have a terrible rub of the Green when it comes to refs so Wednesday night was a welcome change.
If you go in with your foot two feet from the ground with your studs up then you deserve a red card for intent alone..
I think that our fans and the football world in general are so used to us getting **** decisions against us that even when we get correct decisions in our favour there is an outcry..
Valley isn't the brightest spark. Didn't realise I was taking the piss out of him. He thought I taking it out of you
