Will relish the trip as he did at the Festival in 2014 and handicapper has been quick to drop him in two runs since putting him on a handy enough looking mark. De Kerry Man is my danger to the point where I am quite sweet on the forecast too!

8/13 with Paddys on Black Herucles isn't a price many would be interested in but when you combine it with Born Survivor and Pont Alexandre you've a right wee muggy treble pays just better than 7/1. Yep, I'm on :)

I've already flagged up Black Herucles on the antepost thread at 10/1 for the NH Chase and he's still available at that. If he wins nice tomorrow, as he should, you can expect that price to half <ok>

    Good luck!

is he the one they've been chatting about all season as Patrick;s ride in the 4miler Beefy? I couldn't be arsed looking at odds checker to work it out.

Is Black Hercules definitely being considered over 4 miles Beefy? I hope he is because I want Pont Alexandre to be their RSA horse.

Bit of cash for Roi Des Francs to turn over Pont today. 3/1 into 9/4. Hoping Pont jumps as beautifully as his debut where he looked a real natural.

I was very impressed by Da Kerry Man's jumping LTO and he was really unlucky to unseat 3 from home when looking to have the others well and truly labouring. Worth a sporting dabble <ok>

    Goooooooood morning 606 <ok>

Some 6/4 still available for Edwulf in Naas' 2.30. Was all set to hack up against Walk to Freedom and McKinley before a last fence blunder blew his chances. Hopefully with a clear round, compo awaits today.

Seve 8/1 Chelmsford 2.10 - Has a lovely draw to attack from today again and should take a fair bit of pegging back if he gets his head in front for Dascombe/Kingscote.

All the rage and rightly so about Black Hercules, Sambremont franked the form last time out and there's no particular reason I'm taking him on bar the price today. Definitely Red 13/2 form from the Lanzarote is working out very well, Yala Enki providing a nice boost last week and I've chanced a small bet incase the fave fluffs his lines.

    All the best folks.

Big Match predictions today Smokey and Oddy? I reckon a draw game, need a win to move within 4 of ya's! A win could move ya's into the play-off position if results went for ya.

Realistically I think score draw that's the norm for this game but my gut is telling me Leeds might turn us over. We made hard work of a poor Bolton side midweek and Leeds have been playing well without much success so I've a feeling they might just nick it. Hope I'm wrong though and it's another 6-0 drubbing like the other year!

I'd settle for a point today STH. As Smokey says, we were a bit jaded midweek and I get the feeling we could use an international weekend to give the lads a rest.

Cor blimey, calm down you types. A few of you seem to have a bit of an obsession with that Mr Henderson chap which is quite frankly worrying. Take heart though that at least you haven’t yet got as obsessed as a few on here are over that AP whatever his name is!

At first glance today’s action doesn’t appear that great but have a second glance and it appears quite reasonable. But, whatever, as they say round my way – the 5/1 winner of a bad race pays the same as a 5/1 winner of a good ‘un.

Allow me to take my regular readers to Warwick. ARCTIC GOLD (2.25) has been in good form of late winning 3 on the old bounce (a maiden hurdle, novice and handicap off 122). A perch of 130 looks more than fair and his opponents are, in the main, out of form or seemingly handicapped to the old hilt. I’m not one to usually wager in ‘Pertemps Qualifiers’ (more plots and all that) but this one should go close. Meanwhile, WHAT A GOOD NIGHT (3.35) looks ridiculously over priced at 16’s and should reward each-way tickles. He won a decent prize last time, where he really impressed, and receiving weight from the vast majority of the field looks a major, major contender.

    Good luck, pilgrims.

Scrub that, I thought it was at Elland Road. Owls need to win this home game and I think we might sneak it 2-1 or 3-2

    (1) <laugh> Don't be worried Sir Barney, we'll get over it!

    (2) Will certainly allow you to take me to Warwick, and I'm on your two. Many thanks, as I'm, as usual, mystified by today's Saturday horseracing............<ok>

Morning All, I like Vivaldi Collenge 3.35, ew 8/1. He impressed me last time in terrible ground and looked an out and out stayer. With natural progression and the yard flying i like his chances today. Always tricky on Saturday though...good luck all.

Two for today are Houblon Des Obeaux in Warwick and Mad Brian in the 3.05 in Naas. Both need a lot of faith as hoping that Houblon has dropped to a good mark and not completely gone and Mad Brian is close to what he was since last seen
