Not sure how this will go tbh. We do against teams who attack us. Teams who sit deep and defend we struggle to break down whilst letting in soft goals. This would point to United winning. However we have done okay against the bigger teams and Man U may come out and fight as its a huge game. Who knows.
think it will be same team as against Arsenal with the possible exception of Caulker for Kolo. Allen probably deserves a chance but the performance going forward was so good i'd expect as little tampering as possible.
Probably the same team, but wouldn't be surprised with: ----------------Mignolet Clyne------Toure-----Sakho-----Moreno ----Henderson---Allen----Can Milner----------Firmino------Lallana
I'd prefer Hendo on the left covering Moreno, because, let's be honest, he was non-existent defensively on wednesday, and if I was Van Hoof I'd put Martial there and tell him he won't have to wait long before he's on his own facing a stretched Sakho.
I agree, but would be happy with the system in general. I think it frees Can up a bit to drive forward
Moreno is pretty much always absent defensively there was a post recently wondering about trying Smith at LB with Moreno at LW and my immediate thought was " that's where he has played all season "
Weirdly, I almost look forward to seeing Moreno bomb forward and he's always available for a pass and a quick through ball (though he did lack composure when through on wednesday night) but I've given up waiting for him to put in a boring, defensive display (he was good in the second half against Stoke though).
seriously never ever over estimate how dumb the person at the other end of the phone is. I have taken calls saying caller "my computer aint working" me"whats it doing" caller " it says no signal" me "try switching on your PC as well as the monitor " ever had the joy of dealing with talktalk tech help - jeez i needed a lie down after the twatting round they gave me trying to sort out the fault on my mothers broadbabd
Moreno has gotten better, but what is with him taking set pieces? He just looks like an excited kid all the time and inevitably fluffs it. Surely Firmino can use his name to curl it over the wall.
Some years back I had the joy of training our staff on the railway on a new customer information system called RJIS. It was, @ 1998, the first pc based system working on Windows and suchlike that we'd had. They're all sitting at their pc's following the action on the large screen being demonstrated by my training parter. "Now if you right-click in the field shown, you'll get a dropdown menu with further options" Everyone seems okay apart from old Eileen from Hartlepool. I go over to her and ask if I can help. "I don't think mine's working properly", she said. "I did as you asked, and nothing is happening" She'd written 'click' in the menu box. I blame the trainer.
i once had to go to "fix a computer at work as it had "died" got there and yep absolutely nothing not even a click from the base unit. got under the desk to check power supply and find a plug just lying on floor next to extension cable which had a fan plugged into it. so asked member of staff "how long has this fan been plugged in for" her reply " about 15 mins" me " so about when you rang me " her "umm yes" so i unplugged the fan plugged in the plug lying on floor and lo and behold PC bursts into life. i have never been able to understand how anyone could not make the connection between removing a plug from an extension cable and their PC powering off . think she was called Eileen as well
Was moving offices one day, packing cases and all that, and the room we were leaving had a server for the whole floor on it. Unfortunately, the plug cablle for the said server was wrapped around a desk and would need to be unplugged. "think you'd better ring IT before you do that" I said to my boss, who'd promised his boss it would all be finished by close of play that day. he rung IT "On absolutely no account can you unplug that server. The whole of the Control and Rostering departments will lose their systems. We'll have to arrange an outage this weekend for 2 am on Sunday morning - that's the only time the company will allow us to do it'. Infuriated, and seeing his bonus disappearing into an overtime bill for getting us back in for Sat night, Sun morning, he did what only a pig-headed, skinhead-with-a-pen ex-train driver with no ****ing transferable skills could do - he waited until 5pm and then betted on himself beating Clerk-Maxwell's equations of electro-magnetism, and thought he'd be quick enough to pull it out and put it back in quicker than electricity. He failed. The IT department ran up an OT bill in the thousands putting it right over the next 3 days, and all the systems in Control and Rosters needed to be re-set. Needless to say, he didn't get his bonus, but he did try to get away with saying it got knocked out by accident.
used to hate bosses "it's alright i give you permission " permission was irrelevant it just wouldn't work FFS
yep thats the one made worse as they would then say "you always come up with negatives why can't you be positive for once"
