The vin film was to appease my good lady somewhat.. For some reason that escapes me my other half gets Very frisky when watching one of his films, and usually I'm the benefactor after it finishes, by the way, I look **** all like vin... I have all my own hair...just !! **** it Legend or mad max it is
I forgot Rickman was in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, he is excellent in that as the Sheriff of Nottingham. Can't believe its 25 odd years since I saw that at the cinema! R.I.P. to him
Waltz in Inglorious Basterds was so intense , Tarantino loves his long monologues and whatever style of storytelling its called when 2 people are talking intensely without a cut away is called - this is amongst the greatest.
He has starred in some cracking films, was brilliant In die hard 1, love actually,Galaxy quest,Michael Collins And the hitch hackers guide to the Galaxy(a marmite film) Oh!! and nearly forgot... Harry Potter
one of my favorite opening pieces of dialogue in a movie has to be the opening exchange in Three Kings - it may have Ice Cube in it , but its a good laff and the intro kicks arse . Its a long way from being a fave war movie though .
Just got "something the Lord made", that will Be tonight's film... **** our lass...or maybe not As there's no vin tonight....
I watched the original Die Hard so long ago I can't remember anything about it, not seen any of the Potters. Good comment about Marmite films, been looking at Oscar noms feedback and Mad Max is definitely one of those, people either love it or hate it
Ex Machina should've got a Best Picture nomination. That was in my top 3 of the year with Mad Max and Star Wars. The fact they have 10 spots for Best Picture and don't use them all is ridiculous.
Last nights film ended up being "Woodlawn" As "something the Lord made" With Alan rickman in wouldn't play. Bloody afdah let me down, Woodlawn is a film set in the early 70s its billed as a sports drama but I'm afraid It's very religious, but it's a true story about A very talented American football player. It's at a time when segregation was the Norm in the south. It's based on a true story If you can get passed Jesus loves you theme It's a good film, I enjoyed it.
