I thought Doughty was limited but not that bad. Given a run, I would pref him to Sandro/Henry/To$$er given their respective salaries. I watched a bit of scum v Scunny the other day (as you do) and even Scunny had far more energy and get up and go than us. None of our central midfielders could do 100 metres in less than 20 seconds. If they could manage it at all. Watch BFC v BFC tonight and just watch the difference in their energy levels. Barton inc probably.
I'm beginning to lose the will to live. How stupid is that. And we still have Tozer. Doughty should be a match day squad regular gaining experience with us, not some other club. What is going on???
Not when he's losing out to the likes of Tozer. Doughty has looked a reasonable prospect when played. We're not going up so why not try and bring on some of our own.
A month long loan in League 1 might get him more playing time at a decent level, and better able to make a contribution next month Or Management doubt he's good enough at Championship level at all, looked more like back up than 1st 11 when I've seen him.
He looked really good IMO so it's a strange one I would have no problem starting that lad in front of the likes of Henry if he could sustain a few run of games Lads it done and shouldn't effect us if we all support together I say again hope for mid table and if we do better then bloody rejoice I think we look a lot more solid than we kicked off in August since then new man at the helm with new ideas I suspose ... Trouble with that is both Luongo & Gladwin spent the whole of last season and its helped Galdwin make the step or Luongo get game time. What difference does this make other than limit our options? He has a squad number, so it's all very strange that he been allowed to go as under 21's aren't in the numbers, I don't know if he can be deregistered as a squad player for a month or not. Either way given the quality and injury record in midfield this could look rather silly in hindsight.
