Play European football, according to Haller's agent in that statement. But if decent players won't come here to help enable us to achieve that, then yo-yo club Я us!
This is all proving to be a bit of a Naismith revisited isn't it ? Onto the next one ....I wonder who that'll be
I suppose on the plus side he doesn't completely rule it out - he just says "unlikely". Also, I can't seem to find any relationship between Loic Gustan and Agence la Vignette, who are Sebastien Haller's official agents. So unless he's changed agents, then it doesn't sound 100%, but things never are in this transfer market...
Blackburn Rovers have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Simeon Jackson: http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/simeon-jackson-2902905.aspx… Who'll be next on the Lambert radar? Crofts, Fox, Holt?
AN's press conference details from this morning. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...the_latest_on_gary_hooper_s_future_1_4380946?

On top of that, there is the question of why he would bother visiting or even entertaining the prospect of joining if he requires European football. We with the best will in the world do not look like we'll offer that any time soon! Bah!
That quote from Haller's agent sounds very odd... "“We have indeed visited Norwich’s training ground yesterday, and Utrecht’s representatives have a good relationship with those at Norwich. But Sébastien is unlikely to join Norwich. We are looking for a club that plays European football. If a club that is playing European football offers us something and they reach an agreement with Utrecht, then a departure this winter is possible.” " Why visit Norwich's training ground in the first place if you have no interest playing for a team outside of the Euro positions? EDIT: I think we're on the same page General
Sounds like yet again we're being used to increase a players value / raise his profile so that he can join another club.
So Martinez is saying a Naismith deal "is done". But to whom!?!? Waaaaaggghhh the suspense is too much!
Maybe so you can raise your profile, put yourself in the shop window and make a statement like the above a couple of days later. The player can sting us along in the hope of getting a better offer. He can always accept our offer later. We need to get better at this game. Look at Newcastle they were looking at 2 CB's at same time, signed one & p!ssed the second off, but at least the strategy put pressure on both players.
It's like looking forward to your holiday and everyday starts off with a bit of sunshine only for it to cloud over and p+*s it down for the rest of the day ........
This is annoying now. AN says "You said that name, I'm not saying that name."... well WHY THE F*CK NOT??? He is exactly the type of player we are in need of. I big, strong, quick striker, who has goals in him... rather like the one BOURNEMOUTH just signed!!! Jeeez! Signing a 17yr old "project" is NOT going to keep us in the league! If we were beating the likes of Chelsea, City and United (unlikely obviously, but "if") to Godfrey, then i would be excited... but COME ON! There is time to get it right still, but with each day it seems we are linked with good players, only for the board to say we are not interested and "we haven't made contact with this player"... well it's about time we DID make contact with some of these players and offer them what they are worth! My mate used to work at the club as an analyser and he reckons Bass was on 50K/wk when he first came! I don't believe him but he worked at the club... not me! Also said that Ricky vW got an £800,000 signing on fee when he joined us!
It's like looking forward to a holiday and the flight keeps getting cancelled... then you're on the plane and get downgraded to economy from first class!
