Interest growing in signing Sinclair. Not sure he's the answer at all: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-city-considering-shock-return-10730574
Sinclair scored 22 goals when he was at the Liberty, he's had some good games at Villa, but is surrounded by poor players, I think he would give us better ball into the box than what Monty does, but my only gripe with Sinclair is he can disappear in games and runs up blind allies on times, his pairing with Taylor though was very good. Anyone know what's gone wrong with Monty? his ability is there, his goal against Oxford was top notch, so anyone know the issues?............
We don't need Sinclair , we need a striker. Montero: 25 Premier League starts , 22 Premier League league sub appearances , 1 goal .This fact can't be helping his chances ultimately in the pecking order .
I agree, and obviously the Striker is the primary target, but the club are also looking at the quality of service into the box Roof, hence De Guzman and Sinclair, not saying they are the solution though, as all I'm really interested in is a Striker..........
But once again, what is the accuracy of this article? HUW! Just get someone in NOW and put us out of our misery!
Striker Doumbia would be an excellent transfer in, and sensible use of the Shelvey money. De Guzman looks to be the first transfer in to arrive. Sinclair would be a very good Squad player
If he does come in Gomis has to go , if Eder isn't going to play he should go to and Emnes can be our late minuteman and back up in case of injury .We don't need Sinclair or JDG .... Montero , Barrow , Routledge , Ayew , and Britton , Ki , Siggy , Cork , Emnes , Grimes is solid enough Imo and would like to keep wages down .
I don't think de Guzman has played this season and is currently recovering from a minor groin operation.
Indeed no football at all this season, so probably coming to us pretty cheap which would suit Huw...........
Which makes our recruitment policy look even more shambolic. Let's hope the Board have got a trick up their sleeve and produce it sooner rather than later. A failure to make the correct decisions in this transfer window is basically accepting relegation.
So we cant score goals we leak too many and what is the solution? Bring in a midfielder who hasn't played all season, carrying an injury, cant tackle, gets muscled off the ball, doesn't track back need I go on. WTF seriously!!!
It is a total lack of creativity by the board, just haven't been scouting imo and have just tried to go for players they know. Cheap and easy way out for them. But it may well work who knows.
Thanks for the link 55. Sky Sports Italia: "Doumbia is very close a move to Swansea for an as-yet undisclosed fee, now that his loan spell in Russia has ended."
