New not606 Forum Rules (PLEASE READ)

Brb and Minxy have been in private conversation with Mick. The discussions were around
• their current positions as Supermods,
• the events that led to their resignation
• the new server
• google

The following was concluded:
• The site causes untold work for Supermods.
• Porn causes the site problems with google resulting in banning from searches and advertising.

Therefore they have agreed the following to resolve the above two issues:
• That they will remain on as Supermods until further notice (possibly Christmas)
• All nudity is to be removed from the publicly available boards with immediate effect. Yes including nipples.
• This excludes GC and password protected areas, which the Supermods leave to the responsibility of the site owner.

Brb & Minxy have decided jointly:
• Mods need to remove any porn / nudity posts & links from their boards (with the exception of the already mentioned areas)
• They will ask that mods carry out this request on their individual boards.
• If you don’t know how – ask
• If there are lots – they can permanently delete whole threads if asked
• Failure to do so, then they will
• If mods do not wish to carry out these duties, they need to resign & new mods will need to be appointed
• Any members that decide they wish to break the new forum rules will be banned for a minimum of 72 hours, increasing with each ban.
• Members that decide they want to throw abuse in the direction of the administration team will also be removed
• Mods please put a warning notice on your boards about the new changes – including the ban warning

 

I've been to a couple of boards and there's porn everywhere - I'm broad minded but some of it is sickening so I'm surprised this hasn't been a rule before now. Judging by some of the comments from our own posters on this board recently over the problems I honestly don't think there's a realisation of the time and effort it takes to be a mod or super-mod.

yes i know what your saying. I am not a prude by any stretch of the imagination but there are children who use this site and besides its ' disgusting on a sports forum anyway and not wanted.

Agree lads. Thankfully it's an issue that doesn't involve our posters/board.

 

Bare in mind this site was not setup for you guys, it was here prior to the bbc 606 closing. This just became home after 606 closed, and prior to 606 closing this site would allow such posts. Be grateful they are changing the rules to make sure the problems go away. They don't have to do anything.

Update of the Banning Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• If you request an own team member ban, it is a site ban, for a period from 24 hours and up to a maximum of 2 weeks, you decide – saves them disrupting other boards. Perm bans can no longer be requested and can only be implemented at the sole discretion of supermods.

Not that any of our lot ever get banned of course.....

 

The maximum length from now on is a 2 week ban, unless porn is posted which is a permanent ban.

As an example, I banned a poster last night (requested a permanent ban before seeing the new rules etc) who will unfortunately come back within two weeks. Should that poster then start again, I'll request the maximum 2 weeks again and so on, provided there is sufficient evidence. Therefore, if continued insults, wumming etc are posted please report it and I'll have said evidence etc

48 hour ban request for Vetch. Deliberate wumming and derailing a brand new match day thread. Unnaceptable when considering the effort it took to make the thread imo.

 

Sadly Vetch is no longer interested in amicably debating all things Swansea City, he only wants to point score, and wum on this board, he's always got someone in his sights to argue with and derail threads, you'll need to ban him for much longer than 48 hours, because he so thick skinned........

 

I'm a little sensitive to banning , would prefer a thicker skin attitude by all .Thought Vetch's banning was a bit of a knee jerk for a casual dig that brought a angry rebuttal .But , valley has a tough time around here on a good day , especially from vetch. Live and let dig I say , but what I say means little within a mod's situation .and shouldn't mean a lot .
