yep the block meant Rangel should have been on side as it came off the sunderland player.

    In summary;
    - A Defoe Hatrick with at minimum 2 off side goals, one borderline
    - A Swansea penalty that should never have been
    - A Swansea goal disallowed for off side when it wasnt
    - A red card that should never have been
    - A handball in the Sunderland box (not shown on MOTD) that should have been a penalty

I don't know who was worse - the ref or the linesman!

Who the **** trains these guys!!!?

Oh yeah. <laugh> Apologies. Well those lads aren't geometry. MotD showed two of them were 100% on and the other was just so close we could debate it all night. The linemans had a second.

The refereeing was terrible but I believe that if he'd got them all correct we'd still have won, not that it works like that.

Barrow looks good I can see why you like him.

    Blame the ref,blame the linesmen.
    I blame the board.
Just like our football, they are slow, very slow to react.

We are easy to play against. We are so very very predictable.Experienced managers/coaches are one step ahead of us."Attack them at speed they are slow"
ie........Oxford and Sunderland 7 goals against.

Edit.........Unfortunately my prediction, and some other posters, of 34 points is looking correct.

If he'd got all the decisions correct, Naughton would have stayed on. 11 v 11 we were the better team ..<cheers>

4-2 results are pretty symbolic for the Swans. Stayed in the FL by beating Hull 4-2 to avoid dropping into the Conference. Beat Reading 4-2 at Wembley to gain promotion to the PL
Now last night 2-4; marking the (symbolic) beginning of the end of our PL experience?

And, there were hat-tricks in each match......

I agree with some observations here about the 11 v 11 scenario. It's difficult to predict anything of course but I firmly believe that losing Naughton changed the game and we'd have gone on to win it if he'd stayed on the pitch. As much as people want to do so you can't blame Curtis or the Board for the officials' incompetence.

Incompetence is easy to see, Taff. Anything else isn't.

I am disappointed when I leave the ground and the Swans have lost but can see why but last night I felt cheated. The red card which shouldn't have even been a free kick completely changed the game as I think we would have won with eleven on the pitch. After seeing all the incidents on the box we shouldn't have had a penalty as Ayew tripped himself up. Defoe was offside for his first goal, the second which at the game looked miles offside was, I think, level so on and he deserves credit for great movement something our players should look at, I think he was marginally offside for his third. On Rangel's disallowed goal I am a bit confused. I thought that there had to be two defenders between the attacker and the goal when he receives the ball and when Rangel received the rebound there was only the one namely the goalie. However the ball deflected off a Sunderland player on it's way to the goalie who then mishandled it to Rangel. Perhaps someone who knows the rules better than me can clarify this point. Even so i think it was one of the worst refereeing performances I have seen on a par years ago with the guy who sent of three of our players in a cup match.

    Moan moan moan....
Get over it lads and move on. You's were beat fair and square. You were always going to score with our make shift central defence partnership, but if Johnson had scored that sitter shortly after our first goal, we would've hammered you by even more goals!!
