Typically, Koeman is more entertaining with his version: We don't party when we win and we don't make **** when we lose
But you believing these reports doesn't make it a fact does it? If I heard something from a friend or read a post on saintsweb I would have no reason to believe it, just as I would have no reason to disbelieve it, it would remain hearsay. By all accounts Guan gets things wrong sometimes and don't get me started on reporters. I don't doubt that the youngsters are annoyed at lack of oppurtunities but if they are not ready, then they are not ready. Don't forget the better we get, the harder it gets for the youngsters to get in the team. Of course things would change under Koeman, he isn't Poch so will be different in many ways, some for the better and some for the worse. For the record I wouldn't expect him to watch every U21 game, I want him concentrating on the first team. He can get reports from the manager and coaches of the kids and if anyone is ready, he would know about it. And are you on about the comments from Ron that the media twisted? By the way I'm not getting at you, just debating.
Great to have an honest manager giving credit where he thinks it was due, completely tantrum free, very refreshing.
You mean the same as believing Ron has been offered a 5 yr deal isn't a fact either? Do you also mean the hearsay that everything is ok is not fact? Do you see what I am getting at? The club would never come out and say something negative is true. Not even when they sack a manager do you hear the whole truth. This is when people leaking info comes in. I know a person that has on many occassions been correct in what he told me. Guan and another poster who are well know on getting info right both said the same about the u21s. This isn't anything about them not getting a chance by the way this is just some thinking the door to the first team has been closed more then before. (Such as u21s not training with the first team etc). You have to remember Saints is a company at the end of the day. It wouldn't ever come out with overly negative news. But that's just leave it there. We won today and hopefully can push on.
How cold was it! The pitch is looking a bit of a mess as well. Apart from that and the 50 chances Mane missed it was a great result. Glad Forster got through the game uninjured.
It was funny. Give us a wave Boo Give us a wave Boo He don't ****ing wave He waves when he wants Funny
You cannot phrase that as if it is a fact when it quite clearly is not a fact. You are deliberately trying to mislead people into thinking that this statement is true

I haven't said I believe it, I agree with the idea, doesn't mean I know for a fact it's in the table. Hearsay that everything is ok? Now you're getting silly. I'm not expecting to be told by the club every little thing that happens or is happening. I'm not even sure that anyone has ever said everything is ok. What if I feel fit and healthy right now? Is that hearsay? I've got no facts to back it up, I could have some hidden issues. Me being a positive person and waiting for facts is seen as worse than believing any old rumour we are told! If Ronald loses his job at some point, we will still never know if it was results or issues behind the scenes. I'm going now as I'm probably coming across as a right knob and it's late. Great win, the first team played really well and showed good fighting spirit for the club, the manager and the fans, that's all we can ask.
I'm skeptical about all of it. Not that I think anyone is intentionally lying, but when you're on a horrible losing streak people get frustrated and things that maybe weren't such a big deal turn into a big deal. I think that is why all of a sudden stuff is getting "leaked" when it's quite possible it may have been happening the whole time. But it's really more the public reaction that bugs me. Koeman not being supportive of the academy players has nothing to do with why the first team played like ass. Moreover, if someone had said that about him two months ago the response from most would have been "Who cares? Look how well we did last year. If he's not playing them/allowing them to train with the first team/etc. it's because they aren't that good and Koeman has bigger fish to fry." But suddenly now it's a major problem. Until a few months ago, Pochettino was perceived as this evil guy and Koeman the better coach. Now suddenly it's 2014 meltdown all over again and MP was wronged by the board and is way better than RK. I know this because I mentioned on occasion last year that MP really went the extra mile with the academy and RK doesn't seem to do it as much... and most everyone disagreed. I also seem to remember when Koeman first started taking some heavy criticism. It was when we lost to Leicester. There were several pages of complaints about his subs and how crap Clasie was and all that. Everyone was stumping for Romeu to play more. No one even mentioned Reed until I did. But now suddenly Reed is the answer to all of our problems, and the only reason he isn't playing is because RK hates youngsters. I believe that the club probably did meet with Koeman to discuss his contract. Because it just makes sense. He's going into his final year so it would be rather stupid NOT to meet with him. Especially after what happened with MP. I believe that probably a lot of U21's and their parents are frustrated because it's true that fewer academy players are getting chances. But its also logical to assume they are a bit biased. It's quite possible the players just really aren't that good. I think it's also true that Koeman and Reed disagree about certain things. Because everyone has different ideas. It would be odd if they were always on the same page. I expect there to be friction between the manager-- who is of course going to be inclined to always want the most expensive, best players-- and the guy who has more responsibility to manage the budget and develop young players. That's why it's hearsay. There's probably some truth at the source but by the time it gets from one club source to another to the ITK guy on a board and then interpreted by a bunch of panicky, frustrated fans, the whole thing gets twisted. That's why I said-- if we win two games all of this will disappear. It doesn't necessarily mean anything has changed. Just that the supporters will cease to think it's such a big deal.
