That's not what I said, is it? I said he won't be sold this year. If and when he does go, it won't be to a premiership rival. Unlike Mr Sterling.
You got more than he's worth. But City are not much more than average nowadays, IMO. Take away Aguero, Kompany ( who's always injured anyway) and Sterling, and the rest are no great shakes...
... the Jurassic Parkesque attempt to genetically return from extinction the Dodo that you were Sold was commendable tbf
Just wondering how is your record signing doing ? Will you be make your money back if he moves on as your manager has suggested?
Eriksen at £8mill was a huge bargain. Lamela, whilst not the player we thought we were buying, has turned into a very valuable member of our squad. So, not all wasted..
And Chadli was the 2nd highest scoring midfield player in the league last season and remains a valuable squad player so that was not wasted money either
Maybe, he is still only 23, and is finally getting to grips with the league, if he stays for 5 seasons and plays at the levels he has this season then he will have done OK, In my opinion
I'd think so ... we are looking at less than £10 million and he is suffering more from lack of opportunity than any failing in front of goal ... the European clubs rumoured to be interested are all able to pay that ... and having watched Jonjo Shelvey go for £12 million, I'd be disappointed if we didn't actually make a return ... tbf I'd much rather we sent him out on loan with a recall - he's a talented lad with an eye for goal and 'd like an 'insurance' policy, especially after this surgery that Vardy has had ...
