I checked the listings for S4C. It's not on there. That's the only Welsh TV channel that I am aware of.
Aye, I agree. I think there is an element of isolation of very young minds and their overall development, but it is a very difficult thing to get right and that will come with the ever improving infrastructure. I always think of Alan Hanson and the sports he excelled in up to his decision to concentrate on football - we know there are others, but was exceptional! One of the things that concerns me is that decent summer football schools are suddenly denuded when the season starts as the clubs poach the so-called stars. This leaves a weak pool of kids to try and get a game going and it misses a trick, I think. Certainly at the 5yr - 10yr age range I like to see kids playing with their mates who they go to school with and live among.
Think you were getting confused with Cardiff's FA Cup game. For anyone who isn't in the Humberside region, think you may be able to listen to commentary on BBC Radio Wales on Sky, Virgin etc.
Yeah I read it like that! But he actually said " if anyone wants to watch our opponents for weds night "
That's what has happened at our local club, players poached for academies and they are no longer allowed to play for their local team. Whilst I'm sure it's with the best intentions, it's not just the small teams that suffer but also outside of football the friendships that develop.
Totally agree and something I am looking at as I feel quite strongly about the change it can have on the child.
I've had a look on my box menu app Sports Devil, and it is listed on First Row, so I am hopeful. Usually a decent stream.
re the Greg Luer debate, the last locally developed striker we gave a chance to was Mark Cullen, following a tap in goal in the PL he was paired with Jay Simpson for half of the season back in the Championship under Nige. He failed to score and was moved on loan. He found his feet again in L2 with Luton and now is with Blackpool in L1. He's still only 23 and he's probably found his level. Luer is 21, he needs to go out on loan and prove himself in L2/L1 first, you can't risk his confidence and the success of the team by dropping him into the top end of the Championship and expecting him to score like Hernandez!
There's different sites for different stats, but probably the best for the basic player stats is Soccerbase.
For those who are unable to be there tonight I did notice that there was a stream showing on drakulastream and streamhunter if you can avoid the associated malware.
Does anyone know why the fixture tonight was is on a Weds rather than the standard Tues fixture if it wasn't going to be televised?
There is a beam-back, but you can't stream a beam-back, it's just fed from one stadium to another. The only chance is if Tan has managed to get all Cardiff's games shown in Malaysia?
