Every game seems big beforehand, but this one is bigger than most for us. A win solidifies our place in the top four and opens up further possibilities. Anything but and more than top three or four is probably out the window, and top four is under immediate threat from West Ham. It’s another test of whether the team is ready to step up or fall back into old nearly habits. A draw might be the most likely result, since we’ve played you twice, drawn twice and deserved to draw twice. But a draw will not get the job done, now and (for the most part) for the rest of the season. If the team wants to step up, it has to win, which has been the sticking point in a year when there’s been a big improvement in most things.
