Seriously tiote should not be sold, however the untouchable colback will be playing for us week in weekout Colback doesn't tackle, gets no goals, no assists despite taking freekicks and corners, can't beat a man and can't play a through ball I don't get it? Am I wrong here I must be
All clubs sell players and the top clubs would quite like to put Sissoko on their bench I suspect. If the right club and money comes in he'll leave regardless of Townsend arriving or not. Better to have than nothing at all.
I don't want Townsend personally I don't rate him just like pochetino im aware he's done **** all but score a couble of goals and was instantly creamed over Hes **** Id rather just add a left back
I'd keep Tiote until we got a replacement but it doesn't work like that normally. Over the last few years Tiote has been every bit as useless as the other two. Somewhere in there is the player who had us all excited in his first season, but we can't pretend he has delivered or its the managers fault. He's just been gash and probably the oppos favourite player given his ability to find their players with the ball. Like Sissoko, when the cameras are on and the opposition are a name, he turns up. The rest of time he can't be arsed. Probably been disillusioned with the club and lack of progress in his time here. Its a small excuse but obviously he must carry the majority of the blame. I'd be loathe to lose him at present without a replacement. We should have just gambled on the youngun we sold to Lyon.
If we sell tiote we're ****ed he's the only midfielder we have that is defence minded or even can defend. Colback can definitely run but that's it
Again its all about levels though. He isn't good enough for Spurs. But we ain't no Spurs, we're ****. We are perennial relegation battlers. He is good enough for us. The likes of him and Shelvey are more mid table players. Now I'm sure we would all like to have aspirations of something more, we probably all believe we have a club worthy of something more (most fans think the same), but a bit of a reality check for our fans for me is needed. We're ****e. Therefore we need to take some baby steps to improve.
Until we get a replacement? We have just signed Shelvey and Saviet! With Anita and colback as back up! £8M for Tiote is superb!
All he does is run and pass the ball 5-15 yards well. Great but does it actually offer much to the team? No. He is another Danny Guthrie. Useful at the end of games to bring on to beef the midfield and keep the ball, killing the game when ahead. We knew this when he signed. We all said it, he's a useful squad player. However due to injuries and a lack of options he's become a ****ing mainstay in the team! People are starting to hate on him but that's because the club have bought him in the wrong capacity i.e. first choice.
Tiote was good yesterday and excellent against Arsenal for most of the game. Dominated proceedings. Letting him go in what is gonna be a long hard relegation fight is mindless. But who knows what the powers to be decide. That's one way to get relegated...sell all your experience players and just field a bunch of people who don't know the league. See villa. Not a question of is Tiote worth keeping hold of...rather can we really afford to let him go for the remainder of the season?
I like Tiote, His better than Anita and Colback, i cant comment of Saviet as of yet. His performences against arsenal and Manu will take some beating. However this is the same tiote pictured in an arsenal shirt and he basically refused to play (injured my ass) £8m right now, yeah Id take that, at no point are we going to be offerred more than 8m for him. 8m for anita, yup, colback yup, all three of them arent worth much more individually so take the money, play Saviet Anita and Colback in a rotation. Wijn could go there as could sissoko
Should have sold him a few years ago. Saivet has been told he'll play as a dm so tiote will probably be dropped
So Saivet is a holding midfielder? So played on the wing and then attacking midfield but we have a new position for him? Sounds interesting. Kind of like when Alan Smith went from striker to defensive midfield...
The French "ITK's" have him pegged as a rugged box-to-box. Started as a winger and has good footwork, but apparently likes the tackle and is solid in the air, allegedly has a bit of Blaise Matuidi about him is what I've read. Still seems odd. We have no sub left back and our first choice is ropey, in fact we have issues with the left side full stop, we have an over-burdened single CF on our books and one injury to our CB's, and we're calling on Steven Taylor. I'm not bemoaning it, but as with most transfer windows, these are only good purchases if they come with the essentials. We've essentially gone to the shops to get bread and milk, yet returned with a 6 pack of Pepsi Max (half price) and a bottle of Bushmills.
I would hope that one injury to our CB's and we're calling on Mbabu with Dummett playing CB. Still a valid point though - we desperately need a proper LB!!
He was moved into DM earlier this season and has apparently been a revelation. He can play in CM or on the wing, but he has been groomed as a CDM since September.
Classic Mike. Steve: "Mike we need some English players, you need to relax the age policy, and we need a new defence" Mike "I agree Alan, I mean Steve. I'll get Lee and Graham on it." Graham Carr suggests they travel to Bordeaux for the meeting on transfers, get some nice wine to mull it over. Mike: "WHOOA! Look at the price of these pork pies with pickle. Lee - buy this company and their entire stock for me. Lee: "Yes sire, at once sire. Would like a little gentlemens relish on the pies sire. <Sniggers>" Mike: "What Graham? You've been touching up another young French midfielder. You old perv you, go on then. Tell Alan he's different to the others" Graham: "You mean Steve?" Mike: "Who gives a **** what the patsys name is? Sell someone Lee, I ain't paying for this ****"
