Turkish club Galatasaray have entered the race to sign QPR front man Charlie Austin, according to reports in Turkey (via West London Sport).

Austin has attracted attention ever since the R’s were relegated last season, so it comes as no real surprise to see some of Europe’s top clubs wishing to sign him.
He has scored 10 goals already this season, and although he has stated he is happy to bide his time before making a move, a complete change of direction and move to Turkey may well be of interest to him.
The 26-year-old is undoubtedly QPR’s most influential player and it would be a major loss if he departed, but it now seems a matter of when, than if, he departs Loftus Road.
QPR currently sit 16th in the Sky Bet Championship table, and take on Blackburn tonight with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink still looking for his first win as manager.
The R’s have endured a poor season, which has seen them amass 30 points from 25 league games this season.

Can't see Charlie moving abroad so soon. Methinks he'll want to play PL sooner rather than later.

I'd rather be playing for Newcastle than that lot, as it's been pointed out not the nicest place in the world to live

Ever been? It's a fantastic place to go, and it wouldn't be forever.
So you would advise that no one should join PSG or go on a youth camp on a Norwegian island on that logic?

Still would be a surprising move for him, Turkish football seems to be an end of career payday choice for most. Except when you don't get paid, like Kevin Constant.

Yeah been a couple of times, and I totally agree in that every time I have been it's a nice enough place to visit, however bringing up a family there even for a few years would be a massive no no for me can't imagine it will be all that much fun for his wife and daughter.

I've been to Turkey 8 years in a row and a huge fan of the country. Been following it closely and at the moment I don't feel the time is right to go there. That's my only logic.

It's Sardinia for me this summer instead.

Forget the sun and come to Ireland and do the Wild Atlantic Way instead.

    I
I live in Epping and would recommend Canada , sking , nature , beauty and civilised ..... Unlike turkey .

Been there twice , both times hated it . A lot of the people were nice dnt get me wrong but there was always a catch ..., felt like bandit country to me , each to there own though .

Austin would piss him self laughing at the suggestion he would move his young family to ...... Turkey . No way

Perhaps Les told him about his Turkish sojourn when he couldn't break into the first team. I guess for Les that was a better alternative to Brentford!

Ferdinand made his QPR debut on 20 April 1987, aged 20, as a substitute in the 4-0 league defeat by Coventry City at Highfield Road - the first of two league appearances that season. He played a further league game in 1987–88, and was loaned for three games to Third Division Brentford. In 1988, he was loaned to Turkish side Beşiktaş for a season, and performed well with 14 goals in 24 games.

Likely crazy, lazy journalism at work - this move would really go down well with his wife!

Anyway Watford are after him, and they've got a John Lewis. I think.

Wherever Charlie goes, I just can't see it being Turkey. It is a lovely place but it is too close to a war zone and there are terrorist incidents going on at the moment. Think he will definitely stay in England and go to a Premiership club.
