I don't have a problem with being called a counter attacking side. But to say that it's a defensive way of playing football is ridiculous.

If we are offered 20m for either Mahrez or Vardy then I imagine the bidder will be told to do one.

Personally I prefer to watch end to end football with both teams going for it than two teams content to play half way line posession football but it's just my opinion.

As has been said, counter attacking is sitting back, conceding possession. Encouraging the opposition forward, then trying to win the ball and exploit the space behind, frequently using pace.

If both teams are trying to play this way, I.e. Both are reluctant to attack, but are waiting for the opposition to do so, it could get a bit tedious to watch!

To be fair we do have that plan B,
you only have to look at how many points we have amassed coming from either 1 or 2 down.
As for the game I thought it was a good cup-tie and both teams entertained hence the Beeb showing the replay live.
I was a bit disappointed to concede so late in the game but a draw was a fair result imho .

Fair enough mate. Actually, you guys have been a bit of a breath of fresh air this year. I still think you're quite reliant on fast counter attacking, but whatever, it's working so far this season!..

That's it mate.... All these stats mean nothing, you look at Man Utd's possession stats then ask their fans if they have been satisfied with the football served up.... I call it tippy tappy football and in my opinion England have been playing that way for years hence we have won feck all since 1966.... So many needless touches sideways and backwards instead of an incisive pass forward at pace... Seems to work for us over achievers atm.

I just think tomorrow's game isn't as important for us as it is for you guys !
What I mean is I don't think we have the pressure on us now we have reached the 40pts !
We are playing away at a well fancied team to win the title so the onus is on you !
As Ranieri has repeatedly said our players are not under any pressure and just be free and enjoy.
I would like top 6 but if I'm honest top 4 really ain't gonna happen.

Are you happy with that approach? Once you hit the 40 points mark you have dropped off..are you not being unambitious as a club? If you carry on full pelt then who knows where you could end up, but seems like everyone thinks job done. That would annoy me.

Good point. I read somewhere that Ranieri allowed the players to travel to London to play the casinos etc etc, to celebrate reaching 40 points. Not a good move if true, Give a footballer an opportunity to ease off and you're in trouble.

I think that Ranieri got a sensible response to his pizza reward earlier in the season, so he's probably giving it another go.
Get to a milestone and get a reward. Might work. Can't really give them a financial reward.
He does risk them easing off, but I'm not sure that's what they're about. Time will tell, I guess.

Don't get me wrong I'd love anywhere in the top 4 as would the whole club but what I'm saying is that we aren't expected to win tomorrow and are under no pressure to do so but with you guys being at home and a top 4 finish a priority your team are under a considerable amount more pressure to win the game ?
What I'm saying is tomorrow is a bonus game as its not a fixture we are expected to get anything.

We are under a considerable amount of pressure. You winning opens up a 7 point gap on us and tbh you're probably the only team out of the 3 above us who we have more than a strong chance of reeling in and overtaking. 7 points is a massive gap though whereas a win for us and that process of reeling you in will be very much underway. Out of sheer curiosity, what makes you think that you could finish as low as 6th? I would certainly be concerned about the 0 goals in 3 league games stat, but certainly not to the extent that I'd expect the likes of United or Palace to overtake you!

EDIT: However, I've just read that Kompany will be out for more or less the rest of the season. City could well be overtaken too.

We probably do feel like we have more to prove....and as fans we would be left asking questions if we don't get a draw at the very least. Not because we think we are better, above you in the food chain, or any other egotistical reason but quite simply because we are daring to dream. So after tomorrow maybe Ranieri can offer your squad a buy 1 get 1 free stuffed crust from Dominoes as an incentive to push on more...I got the vouchers through the post myself today...looks tasty.

We'd be lying if we said that we expect to go to White Hart Lane and get a result.

We have the same squad that we had at the start of the season, the squad many predicted to finish bottom.

Spurs should beat us tonight, if truth be told. The pressure is firmly on you to keep in touch but pressure usually brings the best out of good players. It'll be an interesting game. I'd imagine you'd want to go for it a bit more tonight. Two strikers?

We dont play with two strikers. Our team will be different to the one on Sunday, them players bring a different dynamic to our team..that in itself should up our tempo immensely. Im sure you will also have the same formation, but different players, hoping they bring their potential to the game.

however we wont be settling for a draw, we rarely do..we just struggle to break down teams that play your style. hope the improvement in the quality of our team is the difference from our performance on Sunday.
