It's pretty close between the Patrolmans ESB (English Special Bitter) and the Passion D'ale Belgian Wit, with our Bangalore Torpedo IPA bring up the rear but not by much

Doing a Stout by the end of the month and then a Pilsner first two weeks in Feb. they will become our 5 staples and we will supplement during the year with seasonal brews.

Playing cricket for the school team I took 4 wickets in 5 balls and didn't get a hat-trick.

Tried pole vaulting -my shoulder has never been the same since - that is a lot harder than it looks.

Went out with a gymnast who could do back flips on the balance beam - I managed to fall off just walking along it.

Never had a 147 or a 9 darter but have had a hole in one. Was once on for a perfect 300 at ten pin bowling but it all fell apart after the third end!!!!

Only ever seen one live so to speak in my life, flew straight down the hole without bouncing on green, that,s got to be up there. Have hit the pin a couple of times but that,s it

Surely trying to keep a straight face when Audley Harrison was fighting has to be right up there as well?

I've seen 2 live (well, live on TV) 147's - I've seen 3 9 darters - not that that means anything in particular as the players I was watching at the time were pretty much the best there is (Although not sure about Cliff Thorburn, but Ronnie O'Sullivan and Phil Taylor were pretty top of their games at the time)

Skill wise I think 147 takes more than a 9 darter as you don;t really have to think about anything other than the bit you get the dart in for a 9 darter yet you need to think about 22 different balls for a 147!

So much of success in individual sports comes down to being able to handle pressure. There's usually not a lot of difference in talent between the top people in a particular sport but genuine cast iron self belief is more rare.

So I'd say the most difficult thing in sport is having the brass balls to actually win a major tournament. Sinking that winning putt, nailing that double ten in darts, whatever, when it's all or nothing and you have the guts to pull it off.
