Why not. Only five games to win to win the thing. Four wins were at Wembley

I don't like to be negative but I do agree with you is that the one consistent thing about our unbeaten runs is that they never seem to get us higher up the table.

With 20 games left to play anything can happen, and is possible, but if Evans doesn't address our midfield problem then we're just going to yoyo without getting near the playoffs.

    In general,

We keep saying we lack shots on target but Evans imo, and coaches before him kept playing the lone striker formation, if he continues playing the lone striker we'll still be complaining about the lack of shots on goal at end of season.

Our midfield lack the ability, and creativity to thread balls through opposing defences, as well as taking shots from edge of box, we kept asking for wingers but even that, while improving isn't working properly most of time; when we get the crosses in, there seems to be a lack of Leeds players in middle.

We fix the couple of holes in midfield and we'll improve above so many draws imo.

Or we don't have the quality of strikers to change formation?

Better stay off the craic then.

The points are gone, possibly our top six aspirations with them. The lamentations ain't bringing them back though, on to the Wendies and take what we can from the season to build on for next year. <ok>

    Hey'up LoL,

I personally think we have the strikers to do the job, but, as I've previously mentioned, if the midfield can't provide the strikers with service, it's going to make any striker look dormant and mediocre........:emoticon-0148-yes:

LL. It's all about opinions and I respect yours but I think you nailed it with the descriptions of our strikers "dormant and mediocre". As you know, from what I have seen of Ant, I'm not a fan at all, he'll never score enough to get us challenging. We need far better than all we have at present for me.

I think there is adequate service being provided to the strikers by the midfield. One major problem with Ant (in particular) & Duke is the number of times they are offside. If they got that part of their job right, the number of attempts should increase.

You are right about midfielders not hitting the box so much. I've commented on this before & it's just one of the reasons I don't want Byram to go. He's the only one that consistently shoots / hits the box, & provides panic in the opposition ranks when he ghosts in at the back post for a header. Adayemi is showing some promise in that department, but isn't there yet. I really can't remember either Cook or Mowatt hitting the box at all, and whilst Mowatt can get a useful shot off from outside the box, he seems to have lost the confidence to do it often. Let's not go into Cook's shooting. Even David Batty could coach him & make him better. <doh>

    Hello stranger! :D

Is there a club small enough to 'do a Histon' on Millwall? Are under 5 girls teams allowed in the competition? :D
