Sorry to burst the bubble but didn't people say the exact same thing about Neil Redfearn when he took over both times?

David Bowie has inspired more musicians than most recording artists, but he naturally also had his own formative influences. So where do we begin on our quest to unearth the foundations of Bowie's inspiration?

    Elvis Appreciation
It almost goes without saying that Elvis Presley was important to him: few of the musicians who became teenagers in the Sixties weren’t overwhelmed by The King’s stunning larynx and greaseball beauty. Perhaps revealingly, Bowie – a man who has often appeared to be as much into music’s effect as its content – seemed mostly impressed by 60s music, specifically enthralled by Elvis’s impact on people, recalling an incident where a cousin got up and launched into an abandoned dance to the strains of ‘Hound Dog’.

I'm really puzzled by that formation. Doukara has proved conclusively to us that he can't play on his own up front. Can only assume that either he does it brillianty on the training pitch, or, and more likely, our tactics tonight demand that we have 5 in midfield, and we just have to make do up front as it's a secondary priority.

Would have been nice to see Coyle retain his place, but not too unhappy if Wootton maintains his form of late. No need to rush with Coyle if this is the case.

Can't say I'm thrilled about Mowatt coming back for this match. Midfield seems to be key, and attributes such as ball-winning, tackling, pace, & stamina are all at a premium. He hasn't got any of them, IMO. I've also noted in the past that Cook & Mowatt consisently fade towards the end of the match, so not the best combination, as it's possibly that both might need subbed around the same time. Cuts down the tactical opportunities offered by substitutions.

Stil puzzled that we're pesisting with Byram. Personally I'm quite happy that he's playing, it's just that the club have made it clear that they're selling him. What if he gets injured? Strange decision, & gives me that little glimmer of hope that they're not goingt to sell him.

In Evans we trust, but he's stretchng the faith a little tonight. Hope I'm embarrassingly wrong about his decisions.

Normally I'd agree about Dallas, Day, but he scored last game, so startig is probably his reward. Can't really drop a scorer, can you?

Agree about El. Wish I knew how to find these blimmin' links. Black art, I think! :D
