Very true. I wouldn't be quite so triumphalist because it would be so typically ironic if he played a major part in sending us down. Hope not.

 

Have to say always liked him when he signed and for some periods of his stay here. It was clear though from his body language and recent performances that he had no interest in being here and wanted away. No point in keeping him, so you move on and we will find someone else.

 

Gotta bad feeling that Shelvey will play a big part in the transformation of Newcastle to a mid table finish 12th or so is my guess,....probably. play his best football since arriving in the Premier his next 18 games or so ...hope I'm hugely wrong .

No, I am seriously gutted, always had a soft spot for Jonjo even if I was swimming against the tide.

 

Mate he has massive potential, but unfortunately his head goes or gets turned and he becomes a liability. His form since maybe October (early) has been poor and he has not given us much. On his day he would start every week, unfortunately he hasn't ben having to many of those days.

 

BBC Sport reports that Liverpool will receive £500,000.00 sell on fee,which is a bit more acceptable.

 

That would be some deserved good news

 

Shame we could not get the best out of him, selling to a rival is a bit silly. Unless we can spend that money wisely.

 

Here's the deal.

Garry Monk won 1 out of his last 13 games. The players were stinking the joint out. So he got deservedly sacked.

Shelvey got dropped, Swansea's performances (if not results) drastically improved with him out of the team.

Shelvey sulked. Shelvey sulked very publicly on the pitch. And got his move.

And somehow, somehow, someone at Newcastle sanctioned a bank transfer of £12m to Swansea for nothing but a pack of trouble.

Don't mention it, but the Jack Army are very grateful to the benevolent Toon Army............

 

No one else came in for him so what we do ?
