I'm only mid twenties so never saw Waggy, used to like Stuart Green and more recently Koren and Huddlestone.
Agreed ^^^^^^ this. Whilst we have a score to settle with Charlton the QPR lineup needs to start the Cardiff game. However, I can see some changes on Saturday regardless to keep everyone happy especially after the Brighton performance. No need to over play / use anyone especially now.
I go to most of the Development Squad games - I was there last night - and I think one or two people have got an unrealistic idea of Luers ability based on his brief appearances with the first team. He is certainly one for the future and undoubtedly a talent but he is far from the finished article. His movement can be ponderous sometimes and he will never lead the line as a lone striker- he just isn't that type of player. He misses a lot of chances (so do many others I know!) and his positional play can sometimes let him down. I suspect based on Bruce seeing even more of him in training he has decided that the time is not yet right to bring him to the fore. I guess a lot of people desperately want to see a new goal scorer but I am not at all convinced that Luer is the answer. He didn't look uninterested last night - he just had one of his ponderous nights on what was a heavy pitch on a freezing cold night.
I'm pretty sure we'll see... ------------McGregor Odubajo Davies Maguire Robertson Snodgrass Livermore Meyler Clucas --------------Diame ------------Hernandez Unless he decides to start Elmo ahead of Snodgrass.
The Cardiff fans aren't very optimistic, they're pretty much unanimously going for us to win... http://www.not606.com/threads/the-blue-prophet-prediction-league-hull-city-a.320502/#post-8785576
Thats it in a nutshell, you can't really judge players until they are getting regular match action. Despite that fellas comments I think Luer has a future in the game, maybe with us but probably not if he never gets given a run in the team. Also the ones who do well for the development squads or whatever don't ever get a chance with us anyway so to all intents and purposes that's irrelevant, who was the last one, I can't even remember!
With that bouffant & quiff Brucie should have started with " Winning a game of football is very much like making love to a beautiful woman ..."
We have one fit striker? Dear Steve, We need some more centre forwards for the business end of the season, or the 'tickly bits' as you call it. We cannot maintain a concerted push for promotion with the current strikers at our disposal. Please can you address as a matter of great urgency.
Winning a game of football is very much like making love to a beautiful woman... Firstly you need to be packed up front. A pair of stand out, pert strikers will give you a bit of quality in the box. Then slip unseen into the danger area. Thrust, thrust, thrust and penetrate. Hopefully you'll score. Finally, a word of warning. Keep it tight at the back. Don't let a slippery so-and-so get in between your main defensive assets and score at your back post. If this happens then you'd be buggered.
