Probably got the egg chasers at a relatively cheap price. £2m - £3m. If he made £10m when he sold us first, of which some went to Wilkinson, I would expect he'd still be that flush. So in a round about way ties him to The Mighty Tigers for longer. No bad thing. Little outlay should see them climb the table, Christ it aint that hard. That'll draw in the part time supporters from the woodwork. AP coins it. Clever also in that subtely he will be able to turn the heads of the egg chasing supporters on the council, in the paper and the supporters to buy into the Sporting Village, which ultimately is what the Allams want. Sporting Village gets done, he then sells out to Allams. Innit
Am I the only one who thinks this is actually bad news for City then? I dont care what he says in the press, I cant see Adam taking on the role of pure owner with no day-to-day involvment at FC....
Why the **** would he buy FC only to sell to the Allams? Why would the Allams not just buy it now for cheaper? Would Kaff really care who she sold to? Time to have a little think!
If the allams did buy fc the anger from the fc fans would of ripped the club in half the fallout would of took years to repair just look at the **** fc fans was saying when he give rovers a mill.Adam comes in and its one big love in job done.Only time will tell what will happen no one knows for sure lets just wait and see.
I don't think Adams a rugby fan, he is a hard nosed businessman.Think of it this way, FC pay the KC Management company £x to use the facility (read thick councillors). He joins the Allams in backing the sale of the KC. The council face no opposition from FC and see sense, approve the sale. The Allams get the stadium, in return FC get cheaper(discounted) accompdation or a bigger share of the FC gate receipts. EVERYONE is happy.
What would we gain from that? I can see the SMC would lose income they'd need to replace and we'd lose a little of the exposure that helps sell advertising.
I agree with you on this one. Before if there was a dispute over something at the KC between city and FC he would of been on our side all the way now hed back his own investment. I also think it will kind of alienate the city fans that also support rovers
I was thinking more along the lines of, knowing Adam, he wont leave James Rule, or anyone for that matter, to spend "his money", he'll take over the day to day running of FC and be gone from City by the Autumn. Nigel will follow as there is no way he'll deal directly with Maguire and the best two assets the club have got are gone. I really hope Im wrong on this one.
