In fairness Sam Alladyce said on Saturday if he was in Alan Curtis' shoes he knew would he would do and that would be to make wholesale changes for the FA Cup and keep his first team fresh for Wednesday.

Come on how can you make pathetic excuses for the amount of changes curtis made ffs. The back 4 had never played together and it showed and it was them that lost us the game. What benefit did ash and co gain from seeing their team mates in defence made to look stupid that embarrassed the whole club. We have a lot of international players in the squad and they have played many international matches where there was only 3 days rest and then returned to the club and played a few days later so this resting players is bullshit,,,,,,We played a league two side ffs not man utd that did not justify resting 10 players... A total schoolboy unnecessary error that has cost us a moral boost of being in the hat for tonight's 4th round draw.

The back 4 that we sent out against a League 2 team had 4 Premier League starts between them this season .
The back 4 that Big Sam sent out against Arsenal had 54 Premier League starts between them this season
Respect for the FA Cup was shown by only one team I'm afraid , and Big Sam actually needled us in the media about the type of team we should send out ,not our full squad but a competitive one in so many words and had a go at Klopp also .

Speak for yourself Matt , I was 99% sure we would lose .And it's not even the winning or losing .....it's the respect we've been losing over the past few seasons , this is just another added to the list .....cheers

I don't give a toss what fat Sam thinks. All I care about is Curtis preparing our best players for a must win game. By making sure that they are fresh for Wednesday, he's certainly done that.
Make no mistake, Curtis has prioritised the Sunderland game, and he's 100% correct.

This is where managers like fat sam with bags of experience can out fox Curtis every time... Sir Alex was the best ever at giving their opposition a false sense of security and would then tear into them on match days.

When has Sam EVER tore teams apart? Unless it's kick the crap out of them? Comparing them is like you saying that Bony is rubbish and Jonjo is class<laugh>

For starters , Vorms old team . Try managers who wouldn't touch the manager gig with a ten foot pole . Try strikers who are waiting to borrow that ten foot pole to keep us away .Tryplayers like Tabanou and Eder who are left wondering why they were brought in.And whether you care what Big Sam says , he had the same schedule and playing a harder team but had enough respect for the competition to actually play a proper defence .

    Frank De Boer wants it.

Make no mistake, if we stay up, which I think we will, they'll be queuing at the door to manage our club.

Only because they get a fresh start and a 100,000,000 . The new manager that might come in the summer respects the chance to get to the Premier and the money ......

They should have been banging jinx's door down 5 weeks ago the minute monk was sacked.......Any other premiership club would have an Experienced manager who by now would have brought in a striker and re organized the way he wants to go........We are a mess there is no denying it and if jinx don't replace Mr nice guy and splash the cash on a decent striker then there is no way on this earth we will get enough points to come close to staying up......Jinx has one final roll of the dice left to sort this mess out. Once the window shuts that's it and we will have to play the season out in a worse position with a squad who cant string two wins together let alone the amount we have to get.......cant anyone see this ? because the way we have played the first half of the season points this fact out.......Jinx and the board must burn the midnight oil and sort this out.....

We played, we lost, we move on.

It's disappointing but were we ever going to win the Cup this season? Unlikely

Premier League survival is possible - so is it right to target that competition and the matches in the PL? Definitely

The differences between Laudrup's sacking and Monks sacking is with Laudrup even though we were a few points from relegation with 13 left to play , we were in good company with 9 other teams , still in the 5th round of the FA Cup and into the 2nd round of Europa and we were respected , managers would have lined up to take the job on the spot . The other difference is Jenkins never flew off anywhere or even test the waters for an expierenced manager ....
