I know you were just having a laugh here, but how many more inept performances is Huw Jenkins going to allow? It is crippling our confidence.........<ok>

Another abysmal home performance, this time a 3-0 drubbing by Leicester, leaves the Club on the brink of the relegation zone.

As a rider to the above, we picked up 8 of our 14 points in the first four games of the season.

Since then we have picked up 6 points from 11 games which equates to a points per game ratio of 0.54 (a season of that form would equate to 21 points)

I do think that our striker issue has compounded our problems, we have had issues with no striker before in seasons, but our midfield chipped in, but this season our midfield has been all over the place, Sousa answered this with dropping the midfield deep, and sitting in front of our backline, wasn't pretty but we had the best clean sheet of that season barring one, and we finished 7th, so maybe Monk should have realised the issues of our front line more and set us up as Sousa did, all academic now though.................<ok>

40 goals in 46 games wasn't really an answer , parking the bus was what gave us our "Highest finish " in the Championship and a dreadful way to go about it but I guess you work with what you have

Unless something dramatic happens,I think 36 points is beyond this team.

Arthur Scargill to replace Monk then. That should guarantee "a quality strike",if anything could. ;)

Finally the Swans manage a victory at The Liberty which pushes our points per game ratio to 1:1, which means if we carry as we are we will get 38 points this season, which has been enough to survive in previous seasons.

ANORAK STAT: The Swans haven’t scored in front of the Family Stand since the win against Man U in August.

The draw against Crystal Palace was the first “gain” in points terms on any fixture since we drew with Spurs in early October. That was soon scuppered by a defeat at Old Trafford.

This season we have only improved our results against the following four teams:
    Chelsea (A) 2-2 (+1), Newcastle (H) 2-0 (+2), Spurs (H) 2-2 (+1), Crystal Palace (A) 0-0 (+1)

We have had the same results against the following teams:
    Sunderland (A) 1-1, Man United (H) 2-1, Everton (H) 0-0, Aston Villa (A) 2-1, Liverpool (A) 0-1, Man City (A) 1-2, West Ham (H) 1-1, West Brom (H) 1-0

We have had worse results against the following teams:
    Watford** (A) 0-1 (-3), Southampton (A) 1-3 (-3), Stoke (H) 0-1 (-3), Arsenal (H) 0-3 (-3)
    Norwich*** (A) 0-1(-2) , Bournemouth* (H) 2-2 (-2), Leicester (H) 0-3 (-3), Man United (A) 1-2 (-3)

ANORAK STAT STILL PENDING!: The Swans haven’t scored in front of the Family Stand since the win against Man U on August 30th 2015

I feel better knowing the Old Trafford game is out of the way and we are playing a better quality of football .
I suspect we will be over a 40 point ratio soon .
